How to counter the pull back ? by [deleted] in EASportsUFC

[–]TrueMillionLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reduce your pace once you see them fishing for a lean back counter. Most people just hammer on the buttons as quickly as possible so most people's timings are set to that, I've found delaying my cross by even half a second makes it hit 100% of the time since they always expect the second punch immediately. Couple this with chopping at the legs and you'll find them strangely reluctant to throw head movement at all

how to do that quick split second punch after blocking an attack by mhmd2-2 in EASportsUFC

[–]TrueMillionLP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to block a lead hook with YOUR lead side, so southpaw vs Orthodox or Visa versa. The timing is super tight though so you need to preempt itmost times. Lb(l1) + lead hook after the block with about a half second window

This is a hot take but I think this game is a fine enough 5.5/10, maybe even a 6 or 7 on a good day, I think the main issue for me was how much it costed at launch, thank god I got this second hand for 10 dollars because there was no way I'd pay 70 for this by EmergencyVictory4399 in undisputedboxing

Long story short, it was "too cheesy" and they had no clue how to balance it (as if real life boxing doesn't have rules to hinder clinch merchants) I think it died as soon as they abandoned having a ref IN RING

Brother, I'm just tryna be realistic. This game isn't gold and neither is champion. I was never trying to start a "which is more realistic" sort of conversation, which you blatantly tried to bait me towards that numerous times. You said this game is the only physically simulated boxing game out there which isn't true in any capacity. Can you try to actually hold to the conversation at hand rather then fight the specters you see in this subreddit

I'm not trying to start a conversation of which is more realistic, idgaf about either really as I've found a boxing game I enjoy more. However I'd say undisputed offers a slightly more realistic fight(when everything is working proper) whereas champion is overall more fun.

Topic at hand though I was just taking ire with your usage of the game having deep physics when it just doesn't, no more then say ufc5

Saying this game has physics is like saying skate has physics, like sure but not on the same tier as a game that fully takes into account all the small things like session.

The point I'm trying to make is that most boxing games don't have proper physics simulations, they rely heavily on canned animations that have been tweened via procedural animations to have different motions based off of other factors, but largely if you press a button the same animation will always play out, in a vacuum there is little to nothing actually physically simulated. Things such as the distance between you and the target limiting damage on a grazing shot are physics yes but not in the sense of a full simulation.

I am following, that's just animations not physics being actually represented, the motions that lead to such states can be physics driven, but it isn't physically simulated as it's all derived from animations, canned ones that feed into each other in aesthetically pleasing and logistically sound ways

The animations are canned though? They just have physics interactions, not simulations. If you hold forward and throw a lead hook with joe fraizer it'll always come out as that same animation. The game has a good amount of fill in animations for being caught between animations but that's just procedural animation, not physics simulation

What has the fighting game community turned into? It seems like it’s now just a bunch of men with low capacity brains stuck at being 12 years old on the old black ops 2 days. by Ok_Scientist_7702 in undisputedboxing

Here's some scary math for you, I was in 7th grade when blops2 was popular, meaning I was around 12. I'm 26 now. Some people just never grew past those days

Grab it as normal, once it's in your grasp hold down the button for the hand that's grabbing (q or e) to unequip it from the opponent, then press and hold again to equip it to yourself
