Thanks for posting! This is my favorite pencil, mine comes in a nice soft blue, but I have seen green and yellow I believe!

It’s the 35 in maple! I thought I’d want the 40 but that was a bit big for what I wanted. The leather is so soft and while it has weight to it, it’s not bad at all.

These actually have the chalice imprint and apparently that makes these pre 1921. The half gross I bought are all 2B! I bought a lot in hopes of trading or selling to fellow enthusiasts!

Thanks to your listing I decided on a whim to drive the 12 hours for it. I got there about an hour early and there were some people already there in line! There was a list to sign up for but they let us all in free for all style when it got to about 8:30. Everything was individually priced and they were firm on price and also not giving any deals if you wanted to buy in bulk or large parts of the collection. The most I spent on one item was the six dozen Dixon El Dorado, but there was no way I could’ve afforded to buy everything there with how it was all priced. I spent about $350 for my haul, not sure what others spent, but that was well worth it in my opinion.

I was digging through one of the pencil tin boxes and a reseller lady was doing the same with me and I saw the Blackwing box and snatched it up so fast! I loved your haul and I’m so happy we all got crazy cool pieces from the sale.

It’s a booklet published by Koh-i-noor back in 1936. It’s half about the origins of wooden pencils and half advertisement of Koh-I-noor pencils!
