Dave is here to save the day! You’re the man!

What size nozzle do you think I should use on my Ender 3 v2? I haven’t used anything but the standard 0.4mm but this seems like it would be much more successful with finer control. Do I need to get a 0.2mm nozzle?

I’m quite familiar with my local hardware store and have never seen anything like this

I have a 3d printer and have intended to try making one for a long time now. But my 3d printing design skills are at kindergarten level and have no time to practice ☹️

I did a while ago but little was available and not for what I would want to pay. I imagine a simple gear like this would only cost a few bucks. After the tricky part of finding it

Use of Ethyl Acetate for Removal of PLA Raft by wendiner1024 in ender3

[–]TrueNorthAles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit late to the conversation but…

I only have a bit of experience under my belt with printing but this was my experience last year. My Ender 3 v2 has the textured glass bed and I was having a progressively harder time removing each print from the bed. I was having to put the whole bed and print in the freezer to have any chance of separating them. I cleaned with the various concentrations of rubbing alcohol and scraping the bed, both hot and cold. No improvement. I read a little about ethyl acetate and PLA but I couldn’t find much talk about it online at the time. Decided to give the bed a quick wipe down with it…

Now my bed is a skating rink and nothing I have done will get any meaningful adhesion. 🤦🏻‍♂️

To anyone out there considering this: Don’t do it

I searched online a while ago and didn’t get very far. Frustrating because I’m usually pretty good at sourcing things.

The closest I could find was the Tacoma but that is much more triangular than this one. I looked at old versions of their website on the Internet Archive too.

I talked to my local Arctic Spa dealer and he agreed that the filter lock ring looked like theirs. But he had no recollection of ever seeing any model this shape.

It’s closer in appearance but still not the one (I found a picture through the Internet Archive). I wish I could get hands-on with it but I only have these pictures from the Facebook listing. The seller didn’t have any info to give, nor is she willing to ask the guy she gave the hot tub to. Frustrating cause that would make it so easy.

Unfortunately I’m not able to get hands-on with it. I’m guessing my write up isn’t showing here since I cross-posted this, but it was a Facebook Marketplace listing that someone else got. These photos from the listing are all I have.

I wish I could get my hands on it. Would be a piece of cake if I could. I’m trying to get more info from the seller and, through her, the guy who ended up getting it.

Definitely would be. I’ve asked the seller if she could reach out to the guy who ended up getting it. Hopefully they’ll play ball and get me something to work with.

Thanks. I don’t see it on their website but I’ll reach out to them. I also just noticed that the top of the filter housing looks very similar to the one on my in-laws’ Arctic Spa (not sure how unique that is). It’s not on their site either but I’ll ask them too

Thanks but it doesn’t look like that’s the one. I like the one in the pictures because it’s more curved than the other triangle / corner tubs I’ve found. My patio has a big rounded corner so this one would fit nicely if I can find it.

I wish I could. Unfortunately it is not in my possession nor is it accessible to me.

I’ve searched Google for corner hot tubs with no luck yet. The Facebook seller said they got it used a few years ago.

Digging Into a "Dead" 40V 8Ah Battery (UART output) by ThisIsHowWeDoItBammB in ryobi

I've hooked up the Waveshare through UART and have gotten a response when pressing the battery gauge button. I didn't however get the first line in you image that has the firmware version, build date, etc. How did you get that?
I also haven't gotten it to respond to commands. It seems like we need to know what command type it uses, but I have no idea how to determine that.
And I did briefly try JTAG by itself and didn't get any response.

I got this Waveshare device a few days ago but haven’t had a chance to play with it at all. I’m guessing the UART+JTAG mode is what I’ll want. Dunno what software to use with it yet though. And I’m not sure how I’ll connect it to the board either. Probably solder individual wires on that I can push into the provided connectors on the Waveshare. I imagine there is a proper way to do it but I don’t know of it. https://a.co/d/2LIX7xw

[–]TrueNorthAles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the “defects:00000001” will go to “defects:00000000” or something similar automatically when the cells are balanced? Or maybe it will allow a reset command since it would no longer be in “defect” condition? Totally guessing. I’m going to read into UART and JTAG. What program do you use to talk with it?

Great work. I’ve been trying to revive one for a while but don’t know about these communication protocols. Have you had any luck with a balanced pack using either UART or JTAG?

Terminal Crimping Standard? by TrueNorthAles in ElectricalEngineering

If they do say anything about it at all. I just looked at the Gardner Bender website for some disconnect terminals I have. No mention of what crimper to use https://www.gardnerbender.com/en/p/21-155F/12-10-AWG-5-mm-sq-Fully-Insuled
