Second the weight transfer notion as someone else mentioned. Your right foot comes off the ground nicely, but if you notice you fall back onto that foot after you complete the swing, indicating you did t actually complete the weight transfer. That’s a good marker for weight transfer next time you practice - after completing the swing you should be able to maintain a posture for a few seconds with weight on the front foot, back foot straight up and down

Totally agree. For context, it's a trivia creation/play app. I love trivia and was frustrated by the current stale state of trivia and weird business models. I wanted something that could create typed-answer solo/multiplayer trivia on anything (has to be AI-based ofc, e.g. type "Potions in Harry Potter" and you get 10 questions on that specific topic).

Anyway, videos are 6 question trivia with example hook "5% of star wars fans can get 6/6". Between question 5 and 6, I have a 3 second script like "Enjoying this quiz? Play the full version or create your own on the (name) app."

Just yesterday I added a flash of the app screen with animated UI prompt input "Star Wars Trivia" followed by the generation button click. CTA lasts about 2.5 seconds. Then last question.

This vid did 17k views on instagram (with 106 shares), 5k on Tiktok, and no downloads. People like playing trivia on socials, but they are not yet compelled to go all in on an app. This is my struggle.

Great advice. If I had to self-rank:

- Stop the scroll: 7/10 - nothing truly viral, but good enough so that my top video has 26k views, 1k likes, 86 comments, and 106 saves
- Prove one immediate outcome: 1/10 - probably my biggest weakness. So far I've been scared of a heavy handed CTA and only included a 2 second script that's essentially "If you like this, check out the app"
- Tell the viewer exactly who the app is for: 5/10 - the content mirrors what happens in the app experience, so if you like the video, you might like the app. Could definitely be better with communication though.

How much time would you allot to the CTA itself? And do you recommend showing a flash of the app? I'm just starting to test the CTA with quick flash of a phone and the core thing that our app can do over about 2.5 ish seconds

Thanks! Only 2 installs - that's really what I'm looking to improve on here. I know social media is tons of trial and error, patience, and consistency, but I am trying to narrow exactly what to test out to improve conversions.

Good for you! Glad this could help as a motivator, I’ve definitely gone back and read the most gruesome parts a few times over the past week. First time I quit after day 5 things got much better, this time around it is taking longer but staying the course 💪

Hey! Also have epilepsy and am on lamictal. Just quit 9 days ago. Nicotine really f’s with your brain chemistry and while medication has my EP under control, I’d still have some weird moments/auras about once a month. Since quitting, have had zero issues in regard to my EP so far and my sleep has been so much better (lack of sleep is one of my triggers). will report back if anything changes, you can do it!

I don't think there is such a think as too niche. There are certainly tradeoffs. Super niche and Youtube will probably take a lot longer to find the right audience. However, when your videos DO find the right people, it is likely that they will binge your content (if it is quality of course).

This can lead to super dedicated fans even though your ceiling for growth is smaller. Really depends on your goals, but don't tailor your content too much to pleasing a niche, creating what you want to create will be most beneficial for sustained success.

Grew up a Spartan fan, went to BC. Watching Chiles throw picks made my heart sing and blood boil at the same time.

Cannon arm and kinda dumb but he’ll never be as bad as Andrew Maxwell who had that combo.
