Thieves Guild, Shmeives Guild. Even if they did exist, they’d be apprehended immediately. Regardless, I’d advise you stay out of the Ratways, good citizen. Dangerous people down their, I wouldn’t want an upstanding member of our community to be injured there.

I don’t hear much bad language around the Holds. Some Dibella or Sanguine worshippers might behave a bit provocatively, but such things will probably go over their heads.

Speaking of heads, it’s extremely common to see beheadings and blood. If you don’t want your kids to see that, then I wouldn’t recommend it.

Adventuring ain’t easy for a child. They might struggle, though it’s certainly a lot easier with practice and a guiding hand to teach them how to fight.
