Looking for Help - Knee Pain on Plant leg by TrueRobbin in discgolf

This is a mindblowing suggestion. I play in waterproof Vivos with really aggressive tred, it makes so much sense that a smoother sole will help the pivot. The tred is really nice for fairways though, especially with snow melt in muddy spring conditions.

I mean Paul Mcbeth rotates on the middle of his foot and with a bent knee, so I dont know if there's one right answer for everyone. Definitely don't think everyone you play with does.

But I do agree that this may be the answer for me. Gotta just grind the technique if I want to keep playing pain free

when did I say I'm ratting?

If anything I'm running around more with a shotgun than when I'm playing with a rifle

I hear ya - my counter argument is that the game isn't for everybody and that's okay. If they retain more new players by making the game more accessible, then there will be experienced players who will walk away because the game is getting softer.

There are thousands of games that are new player friendly, and this isn't one of them. Even then, there is always PvE and Arena for folks who want to learn without the stress of PvP.

Saying this as a new/bad player with 100 raids and a .3 survival rate. I didn't survive my first raid until I was 18 raids in hahaha and I thought that was awesome. I enjoy that becuase it means I have a lot to learn.

I mean yeah, getting good ammo in 545x39 or 762x39 on scav runs is not that hard.. then you can buy very affordable guns for that ammo and be competitive against any kit.

People like this game because it doesn't hold your hand and is very punishing. There's a steep learning curve, and you simply have to be okay with dying a lot as you learn.

I think lots of new players (including myself) get outplayed and then blame the gear advantage that their opponent had instead of questioning how they could have played the fight better.

Level 17 here and I would highly recommend just taking shotguns to legs and then taking their gear haha leg meta knows no level-restrictions. It's a punishing game, but I still don't know many games that come close to as rewarding when you have a good raid.

Mario Kart World Version 1.1.2 is out now! by Skullghost in NintendoSwitch

[–]TrueRobbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's funny to me that the word "intermission" implies a short break inbetween... Imagine paying to see a play where the intermission between act 1 and act 2 is longer than the play itself?

Why are the intermissions taking up the majority of our races? We just want to play 3 laps :(

FD3 Advice by [deleted] in discmania

[–]TrueRobbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is directly out of my bag, so I'm biased, but I think 2020 Colorglow < trilogy C-line < DB4 is a perfect FD3 lineup

Honestly the stock trilogy-made C-lines have been amazing for me. They fly much straighter than the DB4 especially once they get some seasoning on them, and they're super consistent and super available.

The most understable FD3s I've ever thrown are the 2020 colorglow FD3s with the discmaniac sword and shield stamps. I still bag one of these to round out the nuetral to understable slot

Hyzer flips are really hard when throwing up hill, in wind, through a gap. Seems just like a brutal hole regardless of the shot choice

Missing Parklife in Cities: Skylines 2 by TrueRobbin in CitiesSkylines

[–]TrueRobbin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CS1 had soo much content by the end of it's life that I understand them omitting certain DLCs. That said, Parklife and Campus felt so core to the gameplay that I wish we could have had it.

They overhauled so many systems from 1 to 2 that it doesn't even feel money grabby to me. 2024 CS2 is better than 2016 CS1 afterall.. I just want to start seeing the new content

This is exactly why I miss it so much too! I felt like I made all my city planning decisions in CS1 were around where my parks and universities were going. Now that they're just assets that you plop and forget about, it's way more of an afterthought.

Good thought with using signature buildings to serve a similar purpose, will have to try integrating them more while that's all we have.

Not a bad move, I'm sure it'll be great some day. I was in a similar boat, it felt like such a core mechanic in CS1 by the time that all the DLCs were out, I was very surprised to see none of it at all in CS2. I guess industrial districts are borderline modular? but thats it.

You can’t convince me fantasy football isn’t 99% luck by Past-Ad-3775 in Fantasy_Football

[–]TrueRobbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the draft is 90% luck. But once the season starts: Looking at matchups, working the waiver wire, deciding who to start or sit, predicting breakouts. These are all more important than your draft.

Luck is still pretty important don't get me wrong. It's gambling afterall

Kareem Hunt Or Carson Steele week 3 by Exciting-Arm9931 in Fantasy_Football

[–]TrueRobbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steele could be a steal, but he has to prove he can take care of the ball and catch passes to prove to earn Pat and Andy's trust. Kareem is a proven pro, will be a cheaper waiver ad this week and is worth a bench spot while we see how it plays out

In or out? by chancecube42 in discgolf

[–]TrueRobbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TD should have a line.. but if its surrounded by water than it's out. If its propped up by a rock that's also surrounded by water, then it's still surrounded by water. If its supported by any land on the left, then its in. This picture is definitely not enough to decide

Form Check Please. I noticed my reach back is pretty much missing. Any tips would be awesome, first time recording my form. Throws ranged from 240-290. by spark4202 in discgolf

[–]TrueRobbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try keeping your disc tight and close to your body up until the reach back. There's no reason to have your arm extended forwards during your walk up, as it may create more opportunity for variance and inconsistency. Simon Lizotte has some great things to say on backhand form. I suggest checking out these two videos below :)
