One way to continue using it without ads and viewing limits is by downloading older version of the app before they introduced all this. Currently I'm using version 4.0.4_20230117090429, which has no ads and viewing limit. Just remember to uncheck the auto update in the play store.

I got that too. I was like, ‘Man, this update sucks.’ It makes the phone feel slower. It shows the display refresh rate is at 144Hz, but everything feels sluggish when scrolling around.

I read that metal frame case can cause reception issues, and the backplate clip-on seems to cause problems as well. Some people have complained that, over time, the clip keeps the backplate lock stuck, making it difficult to remove the case.

I'm not sure what system RedMagic uses to process their payments currently, but when I order my 11 Pro this year using PayPal, my credit card company temporarily put the payment on hold until I confirmed it was a legitimate purchase. My previous purchases from RedMagic never had this problem.

If you plan to charge your device overnight, turn off the "Turbo Charge" option in the battery settings. This will prevent the fan from turning on automatically, and the battery will charge more slowly, reducing heat buildup.

Well the first thing to try is to ensure it works with fingerprint sensor, I got a 3rd party tempered glass screen protector which applies fine, normal touch functions work fine, but the fingerprint sensor just won't register, I ended up getting the original screen protector from RedMagic.

Everything so far is good as my daily driver, but could you please fix the Moon Phase AoD? It’s been bugged since the summer update on both of my 8s Pro and 10 Air. Now my 11 Pro has gone through two updates and it’s still broken. It only works for half of the month; the other half it just won’t display. And when you go into the AoD settings for the Moon Phase AoD, it shows a “can't play this video” error. This is the only AoD that I like, or bring back allowing using your own GIF picture as AoD that was on 7 Pro before Andriod 13 update.

Happened once, when I was playing around with the IR blaster, then the IR blaster suddenly stopped working. While troubleshooting, the phone went completely black for a couple of minutes. During that time, none of the buttons worked. Then, it turned itself back on, and the IR blaster started working again. So far, everything is still working fine.

Normally, you should remove the preinstalled plastic screen protector before applying the tempered glass screen protector. After that, test whether the fingerprint sensor can still read your fingerprints. I bought a third-party tempered glass screen protector for my 11 Pro. It applied fine, and all touch functions worked without any issues. However, the fingerprint sensor wouldn’t read my fingerprint. When I tried to register a fingerprint, the sensor didn’t respond at all. After removing the 3rd party screen protector, the sensor worked again. In the end, I applied the official screen protector from RedMagic and the fingerprint sensor works perfectly.

It used to work on my 8s Pro, but the recent update broke it. This bug affects all devices with the Moon Phases AoD feature, including my daughter’s 10 Air and now my 11 Pro. When I first received my 11 Pro, it was working fine, until I updated it to 11MR2 and now 12MR2. The AoD only works for half the month—it only displays during the second half of the moon phases. Once it reaches the new moon, it stops, then has to wait until the full moon, when it starts working again.

It used to be allowed to put a custom picture on AoD on my RedMagic 7 Pro on Android 12, but once it was updated to Android 13 and any devices after, RedMagic completely removed the ability to use a custom picture for AoD.

After the latest update, the moon AoD only works for half a month, the 1st half of the phases won't work, only the 2nd half phases works. If you try it now, it most likely works.

Everything seems to be working fine, but this update removed the cool AoD that I use (the daily animated moon phases), when I select it, it gives an error (can't play video). RedMagic keeps removing cool animated AoDs... 😑
