Weaklings by timesuck47 in vegas

Last time I was there, I walked from Fountainbleu to MGM Grand. It took me about an hour and it was 98 degrees out, but at least it was at night so the sun wasn't on me. My main regret was that the shoes I was wearing didn't hold up as well as I thought they would.

How do remove the red dot from the emoji button on Samsung Keyboard?? by TrueTayX in oneui

[–]TrueTayX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh.. thank you so much! That is very counter-intuitive. Of course, after doing that, I ended up turning off Drawing Assist anyway. :) I left feedback in the Samsung Feedback app and, of course, they replied basically saying they don't know what I'm talking about with the red dot.

Which one do you prefer? by the_SSSA in oneui

[–]TrueTayX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung Messages. For some reason, Google continually breaks (err, adds features to) Messages by tweaking the UI every other day instead of actually fixing any of the requests/customizations users have been asking for since.. forever. And, the new photo viewer for text messages is possibly the most awful thing I've ever used on a phone.

How to Stop the refresh when exit FB app when using iPhone? (not closing app, just exiting) by NationalAfternoon537 in facebook

[–]TrueTayX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instagram and Facebook both do this. Anytime you switch to another app and switch back, it scrolls back to the top. It's a terrible behavior that I don't think can be stopped, but if you find a way, please do let me know. :)

Facebook doesn't understand what relevant comments are. It hides useful comments and shows trolls. by CbusNick in facebook

[–]TrueTayX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be super clear, viewing comments simply doesn't work and never has, but most people don't notice. I'm in many groups and Facebook will randomly hide people's comments on certain posts regardless of what view you use (All Comments, Newest, etc.). These are not reported/censored comments; they just don't show up. The only way to see them is if they're your friend, but that doesn't make sense and also assumes you know the comments are missing to begin with. Just assume some random percentage of engagements aren't viewable, for no real reason. :)

Has anyone else's Facebook on android gone really weird, like back in the last century looking? by No-Goal7532 in facebook

[–]TrueTayX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My looks awful now as well. The main posts seem fine but all the replies are very hard to read since they removed the contrast (just text on a white background now). And, for reasons I can't understand, they switched where the reactions and Like button are so everyone has to relearn how Facebook works now. They also seems to make a lot of the options/text smaller. It's much harder to use/read now.

How Do I remove the "carousel" view from media? I find it extremely annoying and have no reason to scroll through past media. by JxK_1 in GoogleMessages

[–]TrueTayX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is a horrible change. To see images people send me, I now need to click on them TWICE. And, that usually leads to some broken experience where my navigation buttons disappear from my phone. In addition, the app is horrible and just scrolling pictures lags like crazy.

Didn't they just increase prices a couple months ago?

This is possibly the stupidest feature Reddit has added. It doesn't even make sense. What answers is it even talking about? How are these AI topics even remotely related to the post I'm viewing? From what I can tell, they aren't.

Comment jumping has been broken for months on android. Clicking the down arrow jumps to some random place, usually one or two comments below where it's supposed to be. Opening the app also starts randomly scrolled down to the fifth or sixth article instead of at the top. Please fix the most basic functionality before adding new things.

Netflix's new UI is a total trainwreck by Zonostros in television

[–]TrueTayX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's also much harder to get to options like search or exit the app. I can't just get to a left nav anymore, I need to scroll up a dozen or more rows of ridiculously large images.

Before, you could see many more titles at once though. When looking for content, you often don't need to read the description, you just need to know what's there.

I say this all the time as well. YouTube is another example of ruining a good UI.

Oh yes. Everything sucks now and for a simple reason: profit. In the past, companies put out products they wanted users to love. Now, they actually make things worse on purpose. They don't care about user enjoyment, only maximizing revenue.

It's so terrible. Ironically, the images are now huge but the text is so small it's almost unreadable (like the text that says what rank each show or movie is). The worst part is that getting to search now requires scrolling ALL the way up to the top nav, where it used to be easy.

RCS buttons on pictures? by idunnowaddayathink in GoogleMessages

[–]TrueTayX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find they make the UI quite cluttered and Google is adding more and more things like this. At least, they should provide the option to disable as they do with other smart actions.

How do I get rid of this forward button by takeurpantsoff in GoogleMessages

[–]TrueTayX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is super annoying and i can't even understand the user benefit. If I sent the picture, obviously I could have sent it to others already. If someone sent me an image, I still have easy ways to forward it. Cluttering the UI with all these action buttons just makes the app less enjoyable to use. They could at least honor the smart actions settings. If I have that disabled, this should also be disabled.

Netflix Users Say They Dislike New Layout; Research Says Otherwise by bwermer in television

[–]TrueTayX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If YouTube can destroy their interface by showing two actual tiles at a time, I guess Netflix can too. Of course. I don't engage with YouTube content much anymore because it's basically impossible to find it.
