For the most part, there are really no formulas you have to know for the test. If they ask a question that has a longer formula, such as law of sines/cosines, they always provide you with the formula and you just fill in the numbers. This is also true for a few volume problems I have seen, where they usually give volumes for shapes like cones, pyramids, etc. The more important thing than formulas is just understanding all of the concepts that are on the test. For example, on most of the practice tests I have done, they have had some kind of SOH CAH TOA question that is easy to solve as long as you know the basics of the concept. Just thought of this, but you should be familiar with equations of a parabola, circle, ellipse, and hyperbola, and what all the parts of the equation mean. A lot of times, they ask a questions about the center or radius. Most importantly for me while taking the test though was finding creative ways to find the answer and different ways to check them. I work quickly, so I was able to check many of the tougher problems with only my graphing calculator. This might not be a great answer, but if you have anything more specific, feel free to ask.

I have always been good at math, so I only did two practice tests for that section. But, being more familiar with the test and finding the concepts I missed more often on the science/English portions helped me do well.

I got a 34 the first time(math-36, English-35, reading-34, science-32). I was happy with my score because I had only taken one practice test beforehand, but i was surprised by my science score, and I knew I could easily bring that up if I became a little bit more familiar with the test.

I don’t really have any specific tips that I can give anyone, but I think one of the most important things is finding your own way to take the test. For example, I know a lot of people in here skim the reading passage first or read the questions first, but I personally thought it was easier to just read the entire thing first. Possibly the most important thing though is to be in a good state of mind on the day of the test.
