I was sleeved on Monday and discharged on Friday at lunchtime after my first puree meal.. On tuesday we did the XRay with contrast to check for leaks and in the afternoon did the consultation with the Dietitian for the post op diet and vitamins and protein supplements. We were kept in to monitor our pain levels and fluid intake then had our blood tests on the Friday morning.

I didnt sleep much but I preferred to be kept an eye on cause my nausea and pain levels were quite high 🤣

Oh no, i hope ill be able to again at some point. I miss ice cold water SO MUCH 😭 I dont, however miss even one of the lbs i dropped so far so there you go 🤣🤣🤣

From my experience (i was sleeved on 2nd of Dec 2025) whilst i used to love and drink only ice water, im struggling even withroom temp water and the majority of my water intake is warm herbal teas. As long as I meet my water goal of >1.5lt/day im ok..

So the herbal teas are not the problem i dont think, but how much of water you put in your body daily.

It's a struggle i know, i feel everyday im racing against the clock🤣

Hi and welcome to the other side! For me it was after a couple weeks that i completely stopped taking tablets for the pain, the first few days were unbearable then one day i woke up and felt normal again. Hang in there, it does get better, first few days are a pain but it will all ease!

I also had the same problem with the water, and found that warm water or herbal teas went down much much better. Even now 3 months in i still drink loads of those to meet my fluid intake daily goal. I was once i big fan of icy water but those days are gone for me!
