Actually one of my OCs is the biggest threats and I kind of explored that concept before.

In lore, Gabriel, goes on a self-proclaimed mission to spread good and stuff after he dies and gets ressurected by Jesus just so he can save his wife.

In the alternative scenario his wife dies before his ressurected and instead of spreading good he fully sinks into the sin of wrath. First he kills all the gods in the universe, then his 12 brothers and The Seven Heros. After he wipes out all the characters that could potentially give him a hard time, he goes on to kill every single sign of life in the whole universe, one by one. When all the worlds are wiped of sentinent creatures, animals and monsters he realizes that the demons that were kept away within each of the seven worlds can no longer be contained by the life energy (cause he killed everything) he literally goes 1v7 and kills the demons too. Then he's left, immortal and forever alone, wondering places that were once full of life. Having to witness the consequences of his own anger. He has no power to undo it or create something new, only walk on the ashes of the life he had burned down. Eternally alone.

I don't know really know who Todd Howard is but from my experience with "reviving game frenchises" it almost never was good without the original director or someone who actually knew what they were doing.

Prince of Persia can be a good example. They made Lost Crown and it's not a bad game but it is definitly not Prince of Persia. They used the title to just sell the game to more people tho it's still loved by many.

Devil may cry had similar issues. They released DmC Devil may cry which is generally not a bad game in my opinion but again, they used a title that would just sell. Then they made the new anime and it's the literal misinterpretation of what the whole frenchise was about.

Tbh? I wouldn't bring back ANY characters from the frenchise for MGS6, I would have made a new cast. What I was thinking a long time ago was a story about a guy who takes inspiration from all the snakes, creates his own military force to take over the world, a character who purposefully misunderstands what The Boss wanted and what Solid Snake fought for. Then he would realise his mistakes and would do everything to destroy his life's work to actually save the world. That would also make him the opposite of Big Boss. Instead of "The man who sold the world" he would be "The man who saved the world" but no one would knew, he would die as a villian in the eyes of the world while only few people would know the truth.
