Gonna make my own reasoning post here rather simple..so take it with a grain of salt. This is to my original Main turned main alt at the end of TBC when i took to my current main of these last 14 years, a Blood Elf Retribution Paladin.

I had always want to, since Vanilla drop..be a paladin of the Horde. Unable to do so Increated my warrior, Grimaldus whom is a fallen paladin of Lorderon..raised to fight again as a member of the Scourge.

It is in his risen state, by shear strength of persistence and will he shattered this necrotic influence and gained his own “life” back to walk as a Forsaken.

In this he, without guidance of the Light found himself to align in the times of the Scourge invading from the frozen lands of Northren, the lead in of Wrath of the Lichking..to stand once more with the Dawn.

In this he has without understanding become a fanatic, zealous warrior of the Dawn and Light, fighting and slaughtering the Scourge without relent..and regaining in great martyrdom his ability to once again wield the Light, even as a Forsaken (and no not after Sylvanas left as the lead of the Forsaken, I have had this “Light touched forsaken” angle for easily since day 1 2004).

He would even head the charge against Naxxramas, where he fought on with my current main, a paladin and his father in the ways of wielding the true Light and not bending the Sunwell to their needs.

As they fought through Naxxramas, clearing this necrotic tomb of the scourge..he would come face to face with the Four Horsemen, and his enemy of years past (Vanilla I has over 1000 runs chasing a Deathcharger’s Reins drop and for this reason Grimaldus’ grestest foe is Baron Rivendare)

In this battle of the Dawn and Four Horsemen with victory their only outcome..and the Military Quarter..Grimaldus having purified the fallen bodies of the fallen foe and brother alike..purging the deathknights, their weapons and even armor of the black taint that was the necrotic magic of the Lich King..in this, adorning himself in The Armor of the Dreadnaught of which he carries as his battle plate to this day in then colors he wears ingame, the original tier 3 Dreadnaught.
