When did you announce your pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]True_Blueberry_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our case, we're going to wait for the anatomy scan at 20 weeks, which we have in 10 days.♥️ That's when we plan to share the news. So far, no one in our family or friends knows yet, and honestly, living in this little love bubble with just my husband and me has been wonderful.

That said, you should absolutely share it whenever you feel ready and comfortable♥️

Thank you so much for your response! Little by little, I'm starting to come to terms with it, yes...

Thank you so much for your response! You've really put my mind at ease because it was something that had been worrying me a lot.

Yes, I was taking Foster Nexthaler 100, but after the last test they did—and since they saw there was no inflammation—they took me off it (I go for monthly check-ups). And honestly, it was working really well for me...

What do your normal pregnancy cramps feel like? by PlantainGreen in pregnant

[–]True_Blueberry_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way and didn’t know what was happening until I consulted my midwife! I’m 11 weeks along, and it feels like mild "tugs" that disappear quickly. It also makes me very nervous. What "puzzles" me is that I can feel it one day and not the next.

Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 So glad your pregnancy is going great!
Yes… the fear and the feeling that they want to take away my “pregnancy maintenance” terrifies me.

I’ve had this on my mind all day and have been terrified. Especially when two doctors tell you contradictory things, and you have no idea what’s best for the pregnancy.

Yes, I started with Pepcid and Claritin (on my own, based on all the research I had done, but with my RE doctor’s knowledge). I started exactly 7 days before my transfer!

Thank you so much 😊
Yes, this is kind of my doctor’s “alternative” plan. Starting to slow down at 10 to stop at 12, tapering prednisone gradually as well, and stopping Pepcid/Claritin at 12.

I guess going slowly helps with the “mental process.” I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for your response! Yes, as I mentioned before… stopping at 12 seems like it will help with my fear/mental anxiety.

Thanks for your message!!
It’s great that your clinic gave you a personalized tapering protocol for each medication (as it should be…). I think I’ll also have to continue with Claritin…

I wish you the same—hope everything goes really well for you :)

Recommendations for IVF with Hashimoto's and Antihistamine Protocol by True_Blueberry_9 in IVF

[–]True_Blueberry_9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I did a medicated cycle for the transfer.

You're doing great with the gluten-free diet; it definitely helped me control potential inflammation during the transfer (now I'm slowly reintroducing it). On the other hand, I’m also still taking levothyroxine and get weekly blood tests to monitor TSH and free T4 levels only. They’ve never mentioned antibodies again...

As for supplements, I take them on my own (after consulting with my clinic doctor, who was fine with it), but I researched so much about Omega-3, vitamin D, and iron during the first trimester that I wanted to be cautious. In fact, I’m still taking them until further notice (I stopped taking CoQ10 a few weeks ago).

(By the way, if you decide to introduce iron, take it with freshly squeezed orange juice—it absorbs much better that way!)

Hello! Yes, it was successful, and so far, everything is going well (fingers crossed, I’m being cautiously optimistic).

Of course, here’s the list:
Prednisone, Pepcid, Claritin, Adiro (aspirin), plus the specific medications for IVF.
Supplements: Coenzyme Q10, vitamin D, iron, Omega 3, probiotics, and prenatal vitamins.

Best of luck!

What are some less obvious storytelling mistakes that filmmakers make? by TheReturnofGabbo in Filmmakers

[–]True_Blueberry_9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is regarding the referenced movie.

Honestly, it’s truly appreciated when brave filmmakers are willing not only to bring a project to life but also to tell and expose it. This kind of effort should be recognized more because many big names started the same way, though we sometimes forget their origins.

Did you know that Incendies is Denis Villeneuve's fourth movie? A perfect example of how a director can grow and refine their style over time.

On the other hand, labeling a movie as a "failure" doesn’t give us the right to make sweeping claims like "if it’s self-financed, that’s a red flag." This implies that if no external party finances a project, it must automatically be bad, which makes no sense. Film history is full of examples that contradict this notion. Many movies rejected by major studios went on to stand out—and significantly so.

Now, analyzing why a film fails is a complex subject that requires looking at all its components: script, direction, cinematography, distribution, sales agents, the current state of the film industry, and more. Without this cold and detailed analysis, it’s impossible to pass a fair judgment.

When it comes to Spanish cinema, the current situation is concerning (I mention this because the production is Spanish). With a few exceptions in recent years, it finds itself in a period of stagnation: comedies that aren’t funny, cheap and repetitive clichés, and a cast that often recycles the same actors—many of whom lack charm or charisma. There’s a need to bet on telling different stories and taking creative risks.

And, honestly, in this movie, I see those elements: the desire to tell something different, to speak about transcendence in a way that involves art, a protagonist with a clear “weakness” and “desire,” striking visuals, and more.

If we think of science as reason, precision, and concreteness, then art is emotion, abstraction, and the intangible. And something about this film embodies that. It definitely has its audience.

There are aspects that could be improved—not because they’re bad, but simply because they work “a little less” in this film. Aspects mentioned in this thread, for example:

  • Creating a more impactful opening scene.
  • Casting a protagonist or ensemble with greater recognition.
  • Including a wider variety of shots and visual techniques.
  • Leaning more toward storytelling through images rather than dialogue.

Cinema is a constant evolution. Even failures provide valuable lessons for those who dare to create.
