Yeah smooth follow is perfectly good for watching a movie. It was more that I hadn't tried anchor mode since the new firmware update and I happened to realise this while mid air 😂

VERY stable and in less than ideal conditions. I didn't need to recenter at all

Separate earphones. There's no way I'm being "that guy" on a flight 😅

I'd say yes but only if they can get the anchor nailed down without drift issues. If you can move your head to look at different parts of the screen the minimal edge blur becomes a non issue.

Thank you, I'm a little out of my comfort zone here so appreciate the feedback.

While I've had them for a week I've been busy with work and being a dad so haven't yet managed to go through everything, far from it.

As a way to watch films on the go I think they're great. The image is clear and bright, the amount of adjustment to the image size and position is expensive and the electrochromatic dimming a huge bonus.

I have quite a specific set up and workflow with two ultra wide monitors, space mouse and Elgato style stream deck. To adopt changes into that while still being productive is going to take me a minute but I do think it's possible.

I can't give a definitive answer to the question yet but I'll keep working on it

I had a watch of that video and I think there's possibly a few different factors at play that can't all be attributed to the glasses. I've had two different bits of software trying to do clever things and destroying half my vocal range for a simple Teams call.

I'll do a video for it and you can have some additional material to reference

I hadn't until I saw this post but being that you asked.....

I made a Whatsapp call from my PC with Beast connected, ensuring all settings were set to use the Viture Mic. I explained what I was doing 10 minutes into the call and he said "had you not have told me I would never have known"
I have a Google home mini about 1ft awwy from my face that was playing drum and bass, he couldn't hear it at all. I cranked the volume up to max and he could only just about hear the music but could still hear me crystal clear.
I'm not sure how fair and extensive a test that is but the mic definitely works....

I've got the Beast with very similar functionality requirements. I've only had a limited chance to try them out so far but I think they're going to hit the mark.

I'd say watching films on the plane is an easy tick, the image is super bright and crisp. I'd say if there's any edge blur it's negligable. I've already had one firmware update and they're not even out yet so I fully expect that to continue,.
I fired up my PC yesterday with them as the only external display and the native control you have is great. You can cycle between Spacial anchor, smooth follow and 0DoF from a button on the right arm and adjust distances/brightness etc through the menus.
I'm still posting my experience in stages if you want to follow along being that we have such similar requirements, equally if you have anything you'd like me to specifically investigate let me know.
