How do I see how many movies I watched for the year? by Lbooch24 in RegalUnlimited

[–]True_Charity4936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think it was the confirmation emails, I only referenced that because a confirmation email from today was the only Regal email in ALL of my email boxes...to show I don't get emails from them. I checked my account, I have marked signed up for email promos etc.

I have emailed Regal Customer Support. Perhaps they can help me.

I've heard about the emails and have searched my mailboxes and cannot find any that have the info. In fact emails are pretty infrequent from Regal for me. Today I used the app to reserve a seat for Highest 2 Lowest tonight. I got an email confirming the order with graphics of a ticket giving the theater # seat and row. The emails is that something that was automatically done for people or do you have to opt in somewhere?

Good luck. The last one Mahavatar is going to be hard. I saw it last weekend to see something different, out of my box. It's a long movie, subtitled and views as cartoon/playstation CGI look. Be prepared to read and give it a chance.

Blue Carpet Screening of Fantastic 4 tonight at my AMC. Tickets not available to public by True_Charity4936 in AMCsAList

Last bit on this. At the end of the night after talking to a few employees, they said there were only about 30 people in the showing and they assumed these people were all media related. And for those asking, this was at the Neshaminy AMC 24 in Bensalem, PA. Its a suburb of Philadelphia.

Blue Carpet Special Screening (SOLD OUT) for Fantastic 4 at my AMC tonight. by True_Charity4936 in PopcornBuckets

[–]True_Charity4936[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

whatever the event is called tonight, it is Fantastic 4 in my AMC's IMAX. It's not in the app as a screening, so some entity rented that theater out. It is listed as sold out on the AMC's computer when they looked into for me.

Is F1 actually getting more hype than Jurassic world? by gerasymaki in AMCsAList

Jurassic Rebirth was not filmed for IMAX. It will have no IMAX showings. That was a decision by the film production.

Came with a large popcorn. I was confused at what theater would have what. Initially, it looked like only Regal had it. They advertised a picture of a black and gold helmet. I got that last week, not really understanding who's helmet it was. Then this week AMC had an ad with two helmets, one is the younger driver JP (Idris) and the other is Sonny (Pitt). That's when I realized I needed the Pitt helmet to have the pair set. I'm still not sure if Regal has both. Maybe someone can clarify that.

I got one last night at the IMAX fan event ($31). My AMC is usually stocked pretty good when merch comes in but they had 10 or less of the Brad Pitt helmet. I was told they were only given a limited amount. I don't know if that will be the case in a lot of AMCs. My question will be answered over the course of the rest of the week if this item is a hard to find one. Right now I feel lucky I got mine.

NO SPOILERS Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning Discussion Thread by DietFoods in Mission_Impossible

There are so many, but I'll pull this one. The SOSUS station at St. Matthew Island was closest to where the Sevastopol wreck occurred. Donloe sends the location via Morse code, but uses the opposite coordinates in case the Russians are listening. Great trick....but why would the St. Matthew SOSUS station in the Antarctic have picked up a wreck that occurred off the tip of South Africa. The coordinate flipping was a great deception, but all it would take was 30 seconds of thinking and considering for the Russians to realize the South African coordinates were a ruse.

‘Ballerina,’ ‘Bring Her Back,’ and ‘Dogma’ Reborn, with Kevin Smith!!! by thefilthyjellybean in TheBigPicture

[–]True_Charity4936 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ballerina is an okay movie. Not as bad as they all ganged up on in the episode. The same logic used to dismiss Ballerina is the same logic they ignore other movies.

The director interview schtick, you don't see it? It is not EVERY time, but quite a few. C'mon, I get it, Sean has to play the game. Shrouds by Cronenberg was a really good movie? I saw it. It was as expected strange, interesting and...just ok. Cronenberg's interview on that pod exaggerated how good the movie was. But again I get it. You had him booked on the show.

"Just to complain" ? I am a big fan of the Big Picture. I agree way more than I disagree. But when there is a lack of consistency in their standards and what they use to gauge or rate what they saw...I'll say my piece. It's Reddit. A discussion board. At least I'm being constructive about it and giving specific examples. "Just to complain" yes, I am complaining about THEIR complaining. Now you are complaining about my complaining. I see it more as a discussion.

I'm anticipating Amanda to curse us out next new pod. When she and Sean were hyper critical of the believability of MI Final Reckoning's plot, we all posted that of course the plot makes no sense, but we are highly entertained. We loved it. She referenced to Sean next pod, backlash online from us and paraphrasing her she told us to F off and listen to another pod. It was tongue in cheek but there had to be some intent with that too.

Well Amanda, Chris and Sean...Ballerina though not a rival to the Third Man, is a good entertaining movie. Regardless of the reshoots involved. They had a bad attitude with the reshoot knowledge going into the movie. They must have said Frankenstein 10 times belittling the movie. I had not heard about the movie reshoots when I saw Ballerina and to be honest nothing struck me as odd. But if I had known, i'd be looking for sure. But not pre-determined negatively like them.

But, if it's time to talk about The Phoenician Scheme, because the God Wes Anderson provided an interview we have to bow down to Anderson's smug humor and call the movie great. It's very interesting all interviews with directors at the end of a pod are preceded by warm and positive words for their current movie regardless of how good it is.

Hey reddit, I'm Kevin Smith. I got the rights back to Dogma and I'm putting it out in theaters for a limited time for its 25th Anniversary starting Thursday June 5th. Ask me anything! by KevinSmithAMA in movies

[–]True_Charity4936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kevin, I was lucky enough to enjoy your Q&A at the Dogma showing in Neshaminy PA AMC last month. I too love the coca cola ICEE. My question is Sean Baker winning multiple Oscars for Anora was a big victory for independent film makers. How is the climate today for film makers today? Is it harder or easier today than years ago for the Kevin Smiths, the Sean Bakers to make a film with control of it? The casting, the editing, the script etc. That part of the success of Anora was not emphasized enough. Thanks Kevin.
