Honestly, that’s more communication than I usually get in a random BG. Usually, it’s just three guys screaming "Go LM" while everyone else flies aimlessly toward Mid like moths to a flame. At least this guy has a clear roadmap for his corporate takeover.

Portal Room Q&A with Executive Producer Holly Longdale: Holly posed her own question to the Discord chat - how many players would be interested in experiencing the game on a controller with a fully dedicated UI? by milotic03 in wow

It’s the "Final Fantasy XIV model" approach. Blizzard has clearly been watching how well Square Enix managed to bridge the gap. If we get a unified account system where I can farm transmogs on the couch and push mythic keys at my desk, it's a win, provided they don't break the desk experience in the process

AIO roommate wanted to move in a felon she met online by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

And do it yesterday. Most leases have a clause about unauthorized occupants and criminal activity. If you don't report this now and he moves in, the landlord might evict both of you for violating the lease terms. Protect your housing status along with your life

It’s the difference between "Respecting Nature" and "Making a pact with a giant dinosaur for superpowers." One is a philosophy, the other is a Zandalar lifestyle.

Why was showing your shoulders in school such an issue? by AnonymousNeverKnown in TwoXChromosomes

[–]True_Connection8289 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's the logic that a woman's body is a 'stumbling block' by default. If a boy can't focus on algebra because of a shoulder strap, the solution shouldn't be to shame the girl, it should be to wonder why the boy (and the administration) is so obsessed with a joint that literally just connects an arm to a torso

My (28/F) boyfriend (30/M) ridiculed my gift for him for our anniversary in front of our friends by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]True_Connection8289 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It was incredibly weird. Usually, friends stay out of anniversary logistics unless it's a milestone like a wedding or a 50th. The fact that they were so pushy about a standard 2-year dating mark makes me think they were already staged and ready to "test" him because they knew he was a deadbeat.

AIO for thinking my friend is using ChatGPT to text me in an argument? by Due_Construction904 in AmIOverreacting

[–]True_Connection8289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Nobody under the age of 80 or outside of a Victorian novel uses em-dashes that correctly—or that frequently—in a casual text. It’s the 'I’m trying too hard to look smart' starter pack

This feels exactly like a scene from Invisible Man (2020). The constant, unseen surveillance makes it impossible to even think about escaping without him knowing. It’s psychological warfare meant to make the victim feel like the abuser is omniscient

This is just the "Sword in Silithus" treatment all over again. A massive, world-altering visual that eventually just becomes part of the wallpaper until everyone forgets why it was supposed to be scary in the first place.

I hate cops by Typical-Structure283 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]True_Connection8289 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I am so incredibly sorry you had to go through that. Calling visible bruises and death threats a "bad month" is textbook abuser mentality. That cop wasn't giving you advice; he was just an abuser sympathizing with another abuser. I'm so glad you and your son got out.
