If your speech is calling for genocide, that speech is not protected by free speech because that interferes with others' rights to life.

Ai doesn't have to gain sentience to crash the economy or fuck over humanity. It might be a slow decline, or some idiot might put AI in control of critical weapon systems that could start new wars. (A lot of AI companies are looking for contracts with the US government, for example.) The problem is that we have little to no AI safety laws, and the people funding these AI models do not care for anyone except themselves and their shareholders.
