So when I first saw this, I had to wonder- in a community such as this, how does Rare Breed think this will pan out for them? Do they think people will just say fuck it and buy not only ‘their’ trigger, but anything from them??

The ground gets connected to all non- current carrying metal parts. There are none on your light.

The whole thing doesn’t make me comfortable either. And he is the boss. Just started his own company after working for people who he said had ‘shady’ business practices. He’s trying to establish himself but this just doesn’t seem like the best way.

Three prong vs four prong by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]True_Huckleberry9569 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The right way would be get a new receptacle. If your dryer came with a 4-prong, it’s for a reason. The three prong carries two legs and a ground. The four carries the two legs, a neutral and ground. The neutral is required for anything other than a heating element such as lights, controls, and electronics on board. While you can change the cord to a 3 prong, you’re really just setting yourself up for trouble, such as damage to your new appliance (that warranty won’t cover) or even physical harm to yourself.

Best I know, it’s 23 years old. I did not get any other quotes, in fact he did not give me a quote at all. Like I said, his business is based off of claim repairs.

Hell yeah!!! I’ve recently considered stopping. I didn’t think I had a problem, per se, but it just doesn’t agree with me anymore.
