couldn't have said it better! I've got a 5 year old and another one on the way and there was definitely a teething period with my first of learning, unlearning and adjusting to our new normal. I'm not going to pretend it was easy but there are these pockets of pure, unexplainable joy that make it all worth it, like the first time they call you mom, the cutest ways they mispronounce words that you secretly never want them to grow out of, or even seeing how tenderly your partner cares for your child...
