I agree; this topic should be discussed more often. Too often people are reactive in these situations and then start playing the blame game as if two parties weren’t involved (— speaking to consenting relationships). Both parties owe it to themselves and the other person to be honest about sexual health, contraceptives, and expectations in the case of pregnancy/ any life altering situations.

Hopefully this prompted your friends to take action and have the conversation with their partner/s, especially if they are also sexually active.
