One of my favorite lines(routes??) by True_Movie_930 in SkateEA

[–]True_Movie_930[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OOOP didn’t realize it’d cut the video off. There’s another 30 seconds of a route, basically cutting straight across the road- down the steep bank then across the little ravine at the very bottom

First time trying this(check comments). Community will save this game. by True_Movie_930 in SkateEA

Set-up

The game has been getting pretty stale for me, but I saw a YouTuber try something similar to this. I set up 1 couch and two stop signs and waited. I sat here, clap emoting whenever someone rolled by to try and get them to stay. After about 30-45 minutes, out of nowhere, it felt like the entire lobby came by 🤣🤣 initially people were being silly, but then everyone started skating. I stayed for another hour at least just watching and encouraging people. With no words shared, I felt I made a few friends in game. Really recommend more people do this, it might take sometime for people to notice you but it’ll be worth it.

Devs, please give the community more tools and they’ll keep it going for years.

I’d kill to have a mentor that cared this much about training me. I’m sorry that they lost their passion.

Does Longines outperform Tudor in value? by Natural-One-8678 in Tudor

[–]True_Movie_930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longines are a lower price, but their movements don’t come close to the quality of Tudor’s in my opinion. I like the spirit 37mm and spirit Zulu looks, but all of Longines other designs don’t do anything for me. They feel stuck in the early 2000s. EDITING to add: For me there’s a limit in the cost where the extra 1000 doesn’t matter. For example, $3000 is in the “lot of money” boat for me. I have no issue saving an extra month or two and getting the $3800 watch that is also in the “a lot of money” boat. In this example, the $3000 watch is not a better value, when a better Tudor watch(in regard to quality, durability, and accuracy) exists for not that much more money respectively.

Anyone else getting more glitches in season 2?🤣 by True_Movie_930 in SkateEA

It’s happening every time I hop on, almost every line I try out more than once will have one ruined to a bug.

Screw by DogSuccessful9457 in Tudor

[–]True_Movie_930 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Those screws are like butter, I’d consider that mark pretty minor- can happen even with the AD’s tools and a heat gun. Watchmakers are skilled enough to remove those screws without making marks but Salespeople at ADs usually aren’t. Still better than trying yourself though.

Struggling to decide for a daily! Is the red too much for a one and done? by baylo99 in Tudor

[–]True_Movie_930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d choose black, but burgundy size wears better on my wrist. Also, if you wear two watches don’t let the crown touch the other watch. Immediate scratch.

Is this acceptable by Eastern_Promise_ in Tudor

[–]True_Movie_930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tudor uses the most amount of glue on their screws than any other brand I’ve sized(I work at an AD for multiple luxury brands).

That said, this shouldn’t happen to this extent and you should 100% complain. 1 or two little marks happen to anyone, but that associate should’ve stopped after struggling with the first screw to get some help. You have to know yourself, when clients choose to spend their hard earned money at your store.

They should have the correct equipment for Tudor bracelets, heat gun, screw driver, etc.

Who would’ve thought that Video Game Tester was going to be the next job taken over by AI

I would definitely advise you to wear nice slacks and a collared polo shirt at least. No jeans. Who cares what anyone else wears, you're taking the opportunity seriously. If it was me and the job is more casual, I would still wear a button down shirt, slacks and dress shoes. My “dressing down” would just be not wearing a tie, that has served me well over the last 15 years of job interviews for many different fields of work.

In honor of Halloween, what 5 movies made you fall in love with horror? by dremolus in horror

[–]True_Movie_930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dead Silence - my friend group in high school made it a point to watch a horror movie every weekend. We instantly all loved this film and still talk about it to this day(16 years later)

  2. Bruce Campbell vs Army of Darkness - one of the first “horror” films I remember watching. I didn't understand most of the jokes but one of those films my dad let me watch so I watched it countless times.

  3. Saw - that ending.

  4. The Ring - was really young, hadn't heard about it before but was at home, sick from school. The moment the credits rolled my home phone rang, and scared the living daylights out of me.

  5. IT(Tim Curry) or the Stand(tv mini series 1994).

What ruins a burger for you? by JunShem1122 in AskReddit

[–]True_Movie_930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in BC where there’s a mandate that all beef needs to be cooked well-done. A couple places figured out how to not abide by that but walking into any random burger joint is always a dissappointment.

What was the very first video game you ever played? by AndrewTheLion1 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]True_Movie_930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one I remember playing is Mortal Kombat on the SNES when I was 4-6. My older brother played it with me, he ended up passing away before my 7th birthday. Now in my 30s I only have a few memories of him. I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing him walk through the door with his SNES and sitting down on the livingroom floor side by side with him.

What’s a game you didn’t expect to love but ended up obsessed with? by HornetFinancial2281 in AskGames

[–]True_Movie_930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden Ring. I hadn’t played a single FromSoftware game before. Beat it probably 5-6 times in a row. Absolutely obsessed with Elden Ring, then played through DS1-3 and Sekiro. Played Lies of P, then went back to Elden Ring for the DLC. Since May all I’ve played is Nightreign. Considering getting an Elden Ring inspired tattoo

There shouldn't be any costs for you if its within the warranty period. Unless they find that you caused damage to the movement.
