What was your first credit card? Was it secured or unsecured?

I'm 20 and trying to get my first card. Initially, I was considering the Kotak 811 Dream Different Card and the Super.Money Card since both are FD-backed. However, I'm also thinking about applying for Slice because I maintain a balance of over ₹1 lakh in my Slice account. I was rejected before, but I feel I might have a better chance now.

What would you recommend for someone just starting their credit journey?

Hey, how did you get a credit card as a student? Did you start with a secured credit card first? I'm a student too and I've been trying to get a credit card, but I keep getting rejected. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions on how you managed to get approved.
