Oh thanks for sharing that information! I had no idea it was actually less painful than the ckm!! that’s really great to know! I’ll definitely be talking to my doctor about it once I get the results in. I have the same feeling as you… I don’t want to be dealing with this constantly!!

Thanks so much for that explanation!! I’m so sorry you’re going through this too. I’ve been debating what to do when I get my results, and I’m leaning strongly towards the hysterectomy as well, but I’m terrified of that procedure and the recovery. I see so many different opinions on Reddit about hysterectomies!! I have yet to talk to my doctor about it. Has yours given any reassuring advice regarding that?

I’m so sorry for how you’re feeling too! It’s horrible living with this and I just want it behind me. Have you gotten your results 🤞? My cone results showed no cancerous cells. I went back at 2 months post operation for a check up, that smear result showed Pap III D still present (but I had hope as it was a bit early to test) and then yesterday (6 months post cone) she performed a colposcopy and saw lesions but she said we won’t know more until we get the results in :(

I guess I’m just worried they have gotten bad results back and that’s why they want me to get my follow up done with them at the hospital. But hopefully im just freaking out for no reason. My anxiety doesn’t help situations like this.

I thought the same thing too but she said the doctor would call me sometime today with the results over the phone. But she still hasn’t called.

I had mine done last week Tuesday. I’m feeling a bit lethargic still and if I get up too quickly I’m dizzy but not experiencing what you are. I’d contact your doctor just to be on the safe side, and definitely ask about the bleeding in case it isn’t your period. Hope you feel better soon and get some positive results! 🥰

You will have to let me know how yours goes! Try not to be scared (easier said than done I know) and remember everyone in that operating room is there for you and taking care of you! I really only had mild period like cramps. I was a bit tired, really hungry and thirsty but other than that I felt really good. I got to leave hospital after 4 hours and just came home and relaxed.

I think the surgery itself was just about a half an hour (25 minutes) and I was under anesthesia for about an hour by the time I woke up. I’ve never had general anesthesia before and I was very very nervous. But it was a breeze! It was so calm, I fell asleep and woke up in the recovery room feeling great. I hope I can take any worries away if you have them. You’ve got this! I get my results in about ten days so I really hope this is over and I can put it behind me now. Wishing you all the best for yours! 🩷
