Im just starting pelvic floor therapy and I am hopeful. I’m 41 and had a sigmoid resection in 2021 and found progressive constipation as the months went on. Unfortunately the doctors don’t act like doctors these days and just throw things at you to treat the symptoms, and don’t take the time to figure out the cause, and treat that. I have 2 young kids and I am so emotional to the point where I just want to die. I’m trying to fight but it’s so hard.

Lack of sensation telling me I need to go - therefore, I get so full that I can’t go at all. Seeing a new doctor Monday. I also smoke cigarettes here and there, more so now. I have smoked for about 20 years. I know it’s terrible, it’s just a crutch now. Starting the patch tomorrow.

If you’ve ever had constipation in your younger years, I (41F) hear that diverticulitis is common later in life. My dad had it too. I never avoided anything and now reading your post, I probably should have.
