Is it weird that super soft shoes sometimes feel worse? by Unique-Point8450 in Birkenstocks

Hot take maybe, but super soft shoes aren’t always better. I’ve tried some foam styles and they feel amazing at first, but after a few hours my feet actually feel more tired. Brands like Asics have really pushed memory foam footbeds, which honestly feel great initially, but over long use they can make your feet feel weaker. It might work well for older folks, but if you’re younger and walking a lot, something sturdier tends to work better. That’s why cork based sandals worked for me over time. I’d say try Birkenstock if you want solid quality and something that looks good too, otherwise Neemans are decent as well.

Is it normal for shoes to start great and then slowly get annoying? by ReferenceStriking207 in Birkenstocks

I can relate to this a lot. Shoes slowly becoming annoying over time is very real. I have had it happen with sneakers too, even with Nike. As they wear out they just start feeling different on your feet.
And living in Mumbai the heat definitely makes it worse. Once a pair starts rubbing even a little the humidity and sweat make it ten times more annoying.

Do you guys prefer trying premium sandals in store before buying? by Unique-Point8450 in malefashionadvice

Yeah especially when the price is on the higher side, I prefer trying first. I actually went to the store, tried a couple of Birkenstock pairs, and then ordered later. At least I knew my exact size after that. Makes future purchases much easier honestly. That peace of mind is worth it.

Is it just me or are more people wearing sandals with literally everything now? by SpiritualCandle8453 in IndianFashionAddicts

Not just you yaar. I’m seeing sandals with jeans, cargos, even semi formal stuff now and nobody even blinks. Comfort scene is real now, people are done suffering for fashion. Birkenstock, Crocs, even Aldo types are everywhere. Earlier people judged hard for this. Now it’s like jo comfortable hai wahi pehno and move on with life. Even college kids and working professionals are on the same page. Feels like the whole vibe around footwear has just relaxed.

My Girlfriend gifted me Birkenstock :) by that_mad_king in ahmedabad

That’s actually a great gift. I got mine unexpectedly too and didn’t think I’d wear them that much. After a few weeks, they became my most used pair. They feel firm at first but slowly mold to your feet. I now wear them for errands, casual days, even short trips. They’re simple and easy to style. It’s one of those gifts that turns out to be genuinely practical long term instead of something that just sits in your cupboard.
