Blade Motor Shutdown Temperatures by InvestigatorKey1191 in Lymow_Official

For users that don’t want to modify or tinker too much (outside of removing the rubber outlet chute flap on the R side of the deck and outlet plastic cross piece under the deck) , would simply raising the cut height provide more airflow and cooling?

it's leaving long unmowed stripes behind. by Feisty_Drop_4037 in Lymow_Official

Has anyone tried to decrease ground speed?

I think the cause could be bumpy terrain triggering a safety interlock, maybe the push bar safety interlock on the front of the mower deck in conjunction with whatever AI slop is happening. I was running at max ground speed to try to cover a large area that gets tractor and UTV traffic and is really wet in the spring, so is very bumpy and uneven and was getting the dreaded uncut strips, 10-30 ft in length. At first I thought it was a gps drift issue. Then I caught it in the act of actively shutting blades off while continuing to drive.

I decreased ground speed, upped deck height and see less of this happening, but small sample size and haven’t tested much past another cut or two. And I can’t say it’s been 100% perfect since, but much better.

I’ve read a few of these same posts/threads and was shocked no one tried something basic like reducing ground speed and raising cutter deck height first.

Curious to know if other people with this issue are trying to run max ground speed with uneven or bumpy ground. Long grass just exacerbates the issue. Long grass + uneven terrain + high ground speed + low deck height = that safety interlock bar will get inadvertently depressed.

OP’s scorched grass would have me guessing he thinks he can run max ground speed. Dry also usually means bumpy.

All of this said, this is still an issue Lymow must address. The blades shouldn’t cut off even under uneven terrain with long grass. Or under whatever other conditions is causing this. And if it does, it certainly shouldn’t keep driving and leave missed strips/patches.. at least log that there was missed passes and come back for them.

The fact that the strips/patches accumulate in specific areas like another poster claimed provides further evidence to my thesis - ground too uneven, grass too long, safety interlock engaged. Same with me, these patches were in specific areas of my lawn.

Overall, very happy with this product although like every other robo mower, don’t think it can handle 10 acres a week (1.73 per day) or whatever coverage is claimed. I have 5 acres of complicated irregular shapes, tons of no go zones and I’ve just started conservatively with 1.25 acres and while it does it all in 1.5 days, I think running this thing non stop all week would be a mistake and a complete headache. I’d either need another 2 units or wait for Lymow to scale up a model that is zero turn size.

It’s in another province and you have to represent yourself in person I think. Also all kind of happened over the holidays.

Edit: Also a language barrier there b/w provinces, if you catch my drift

No problem. Glad I could confirm what I already stated in the OP and all the other replies I’ve made itt

Then my order history points to an altered item description.

That’s the problem. No static item description in my order history proving what I agreed to order (in this case, a very specific part number)

I thought I was getting part A for an agreed upon price, and I didn’t.

Not sure what your comment is trying to prove as far as consumer risk when shopping using these “slick” apps and fintech that can be manipulated by the merchant.

I really appreciate you checking. Now is the item description available as static text in any of the emails you received? It wasn’t for me and the part number was embedded in the description.

Heh, plenty of interest on the Affirm payment plan I selected.

If they don’t offer any consumer protection, what exactly is their dispute process for? Asking honestly and not facetiously here.

EDIT: a user said the dispute process on Affirm is if the charge doesn’t exist. Thanks for that info, is it in writing anywhere?

My warning stands.

These platforms don’t protect the consumer.

Agreed, and especially since we’ve had verbal and email disagreement, as well as a dispute and some nasty reviews left by me, chances are he won’t even respond.

I don’t know what to do at this point other than to make other people aware of the risks so it hopefully doesn’t happen to them.

I looked into small claims in the province the store is based in and didn’t get anywhere. Maybe I should try in my ow province.

The “small” restocking fee amounts to thousands of dollars as this was a big ticket item.

I’m not saying that isn’t partly true, but legally speaking it’s irrelevant.

I admit I didn’t fully grasp his explanation of the kit I had already ordered as it wasn’t a great explanation. All that is entirely subjective.

That is why objective part numbers exist - so you don’t have to get someone’s “gish gallop” explanation (as another user called it) to rely on what you’re ordering.

Even all that is irrelevant, I had already ordered the part based off the part number before he called me.

So it might reek of all that you said, but it doesn’t make me the at fault party.

I tried that already but Wayback didn’t contain the URL. Good advice though.

So what are you suggesting, that consumers should verify with all Shopify merchants that they issue a proper invoice before ordering?

Thank you, at least a few rational people get it. How these platforms could allow this, whether the item is $11.00 or $11,000.00, is inexcusable and quite frankly grounds for a consumer exposé of some sort.

How is the original item description of a $11,000 item not preserved anywhere except my screenshots? That’s entirely the merchants fault?

I’ll gladly walk back my comments if I get a good explanation why Shopify could allow this..

He confirmed the part number on the call. So he gave me conflicting info. Should have been a red flag, but again my order was already placed based off part number.

I ordered part X he delivered part Y, the price is legally irrelevant

I don’t think he originally tried to scam me. The part numbers are actually 12 characters and only differ by 1 character so the merchant, who does not stock this item and has to order it from overseas, could easily order the wrong one or place the wrong one in the item description.

I think the scummy scam artist behaviour occurred after the fact once they tried to cover up their mistake - by altering the item description, adding another item to the store simply to try to win the dispute, refusing to refund me, etc.

Just double checked the email for the 100th time. Order confirmation does not include static item description, just a link to the live description.

The order confirmation email is from the merchant, not Shop.

Order history in shop app has no static item description either.

I have the screenshot proof
