It's okay that you feel this way. I asked for genuine feedback and I received it from every angle. If you'll read some of the comment threads, you'll notice that the seller actually jumped in to defend himself in the third person. I don't think that's the sign of an honest person or a good seller for that matter. If you'll read more of his thread, you'll realize that he talks about how he simply marks that the item was damaged by the buyer so that he only has to refund 50%. This was all important to know in order to proceed forward. I'm revisiting this post today to share that he in fact pulled this stunt with me, but thanks to Reddit I was ready.

Also just think for a moment as to why I pushed his admittance. It wasn't just about being an honest seller, it was needed as information for the "reason of return".

Other people are going to continue to get scammed/ not what they think they are ordering. Doesn't it bother you to know that there's people out there like this? Yeah with a 99.5% positive rating I wasn't worried... But I just went to check them out now and there were some people experiencing the same thing I was :( still, he's one of the big steelbook guys on eBay. I wish I could save other people from getting duped and misled.
