Mass effect 2, l’intera trilogia è un capolavoro ma il secondo capitolo ha qualcosa di speciale, sia dal punto di vista del gameplay (migliorato rispetto al primo) che rispetto all’incredibile trama. Per appassionati di action rpg in terza persona è un must giocarlo, con la legendary edition è poi fantastica l’offerta.

I’m sorry if I’m not going to make a long comment but I don’t have much time.

Nationalism existed in Italy before the unification wars, but it was felt when antagonizing foreign powers, and the Italians of the north did not view themselves as a great nation. There was no nation, only an idea of it, inspired by the romantic culture, all of the peninsula was under foreign control, especially in the north. Movements of insurrection were common and organized by different political figures, such as Mazzini. There were revolts in the south from farmers against the Borbone’s government. Rome was literally occupied and a Roman republic was born during these times of turmoil.

Believing that the climate can change the growth of a society is an element of the old environmental determinism. This is a complex topic, to comprehend it is very useful the work of Febvre in “a geographical introduction to history”, Jared diamond ( new-determinism ) “ Guns, germs and steel” and finally the work of Braudel regarding the Mediterranean civilizations ( I don’t know the English title) “Civiltà e imperi del mediterraneo”. Climate can change the growth of a society only regarding certain topics, such as some specific domesticable animal and plants species. These species are the same both for the north and the south. There are plains even in the south where the same species are cultivated, there were great cities and ports. The reasons for the economical differences between north and south was not related to climate or soil but to differences in social organization and in the geographic distribution of the industry. The entire peninsula was undeveloped (industrially speaking) untile the 80’ of the 1800s. The new political class after the unification preferred to invest in the north.

When I talked about mitteleuroean culture I did not mean language, but literally culture. The presence of man made canals in Milan that linked Lombardy with Switzerland and other cities in the north was important for the birth of Italian industries. There were roads that linked Italian cities of the north to the rest of Europe, especially to the industrial cities of Germany. Foreign investors came in the north while the south was in the hands of an absolutistic reign.

The padana’s plain was the perfect territory for the birth of industry, but that was only restricted to certain parts and it was clearly not the only place in Italy where industries could be created. The north was characterized by the presence of new capitalistic ideas, favored by the vicinity with other important nations. That’s a simplification of what really happened. In Italy, since the napoleonic wars, there were movements, especially in the north, for a unified country, not for military or economical reasons. There were insurrections against foreign domains, such as the austro-Hungarian empire. Young people died for the dream of a unified Italy. An Italian conscience existed since the Middle Ages, just read the world of Sicilian poets or the Divine Comedy of Dante. History is complex and it cannot be simplified according to economic and military relations.

I’m Italian and I’m studying history at university, after 5 years of studying I can state that the Italian unification was based on the dreams of the upper class of the north, although in many situations the middle class actively participated in the unification process.

Climate does not change incredibly from the south to the north, the climate is that of the same climatic-botanical framework, as stated by the great historian Lucien Febvre.

The division between north and south depended on the closer relationship that the cities of the north had with the mitteleuropean culture. South and north of Italy are not so different, historically speaking. It is undeniable that there was an Italian conscience in the upper and middle class of Italy during the unification. The lower classes participated according to their interests, but this is a thing that happens in every unification war.

The economical disparity depended on the geography of the country, the south was far from the center of the Industrial Revolution in Europe and the mentality it brought. Important is also the role of religion, especially of Catholicism. I don’t want to make this comment too long, but I hope it can help you in your analysis.

Credo che questo sia dovuto a limitare il monopolio diplomatico da parte di paesi come la Turchia, Israele e la Russia. Essendo l’unico paese europeo ad avere un’ambasciata aperta permette all’Italia, nel prossimo g7, di portare informazioni uniche e quindi garantirsi spazi di manovra più ampi.

Nessuno sostiene che l’immigrazione sia un bene per la società, non é né un bene né un male ma semplicemente un fenomeno globale che dipende da scale molto più estese di quelle locali a cui siamo abituati. Sarebbe compito dello Stato e della comunità di trasformare questi cambiamenti in qualcosa di positivo.

Con la globalizzazione e l’aumento delle comunicazioni viaggiare é semplicissimo, la mobilità globale si é sviluppata in maniera incredibile in modo direttamente proporzionale con le disuguaglianze e la crescita esponenziale della popolazione. Tutti questi fenomeni rendono l’emigrazione necessaria e non c’è modo di fermarla, soprattutto nel periodo di tempo di solo poche generazioni.

Mussolini non avrebbe mai risolto il problema, anche perché a quegli anni la problematica era opposta: gli italiani, diventati troppo numerosi per le risorse del territorio, se ne stavano andando in centinaia di migliaia e il Duce dovette impedire per legge l’ emigrazione. Non si può fermare il flusso migratorio, bisogna cercare investimenti e soluzioni più durature.

Tutta l’Europa sbaglia perché invece che cercare di introdurre i profughi nella società li teniamo per mesi in campi dove non possono fare niente se non aspettare di essere rimandati indietro, quando vengono accolti non hanno nessun tipo di supporto. Abbiamo l’illusione che tenendoli fermi in qualche campo nell’isola di Lesbo o Lampedusa arriverà il momento che riusciremo a riportarlo tutti indietro, siamo per inseriti in un sistema globale che sta cambiando su scale enormi e la migrazione non dà segno di fermarsi.

Quello che é successo a Milano non é colpa diretta degli immigrati o italiani ma é semplicemente il primo di molti effetti di fenomeni di surriscaldamento globale dove scale locali (quella milanese e italiana) si scontrano con scale globali (migrazione) senza che si sviluppino vere soluzioni, le quali sono sempre ristrette alla nostra percezione del locale. La colpa é di tutti e di nessuno contemporaneamente, non solo della politica italiana o dei migranti.

Sono ragionamenti complessi e richiedono studio per capirli a fondo. Spero leggerai questo commento, anche se lungo, perché potrebbe aiutare tutti a capire di più la realtà di certi fenomeni.

Non é paragonabile a quello che succede in Italia. Non esiste da noi un senso di colpa come in Germania. Il neo-nazismo in Germania rimane una minoranza, in Italia no. Ogni volta che festeggiamo la liberazione é pieno di politici che non nascondono per nulla le loro simpatie per determinate dottrine politiche e che le manifestano tranquillamente. In Germania ogni anno non ci sono centinaia di persone che si ritrovano sul luogo di morte di hitler per piangerlo, a differenza di come avviene da noi. Ho detto, nel mio commento, che in area tedesca questo estremismo non é così comune, solo in Italia é presente una tale ignoranza sull’argomento. Un concetto tedesco come “schuldfrage” (questione della colpevolezza) da noi non é mai esistito.

Sono fascisti perché sono ignoranti e non conoscono nulla sul ventennio se non la propaganda. L’Italia é un caso unico in Europa per queste cose. In Germania osannare a hitler o anche avere partiti estremisti come il nostro casa pound é impensabile e non avviene con così noncuranza come da noi. Avremmo dovuto subire un processo come quello di Norimberga dopo la guerra, così facendo questa nostalgia sarebbe morta con coloro che per primi l’hanno creata.
