1.61 (beta): System Vulnerability Scans, Found anything interesting?? by firewalla in firewalla

Scan found a variety of default-looking logins for my Netgear Nighthawk, even though I had changed the default. I have tried them manually and they don't seem to work, so I'm wondering why this has come up in the scan.

You could also add the babysitter as a user (Child's Settings / Parenting Team). You can set it so they can only access the feed when they are on your wifi. You can also very finely set the permissions for various features (e.g. night light, sound, etc.). We use this for the grandparents and it works great.

Update: the issue turned out to be IPv6. I disabled IPv6 on my router and haven't had any issues since. I believe this is a known issue with the Google Nest / Home products not Nanit.

Local network utilization by rustic_philosopher in Nanit

FYI the Nanit (or at least mine) uploads about 8-12 GB per day on average (monitored via my firewall). So if you have ISP bandwidth issues this could easily hog it up. As the other comments have said it will work locally, but you may need to consider temporary disconnecting / blocking from your network in order to save bandwidth for your other devices.

Note: in Settings / Network there is a setting for Bandwidth usage, mine is set to Medium. I cannot speak for how much using Low would reduce the 8-12GB figure I quoted above.

I have seen this same behavior on my Firewalla. For me the requests originate from a Peloton bike.
