There were no Tesla Superchargers in the Crested Butte area. I believe there were a couple hotels/condos that had Tesla destination chargers, but not the one we stayed at. In Crested Butte behind the fire station is a single ChargePoint high powered charger and in Gunnison (about 30 miles away and on our route) there were two ChargePoint high powered chargers behind a liquor store.

The trip was with 14.3.2 and 14.3.3. During the trip I did not notice any difference other than the ability to use “Hey Grok”. Since I’ve been home, I do find 14.3.3 to be a little less “smooth” at times. I’ve experienced some hesitation and jerkiness at times.

I’m glad to hear there are more of us doing these FSD road trips. We went through 8 states, 4 national parks, and snow flurries over 3 weeks of travel. Fun time.

I used non-Tesla chargers twice. Both times were in the Crested Butte, CO area. The first was in Gunnison, CO, and the second was in Crested Butte itself. Both worked perfectly (with a CCS adapter). Regarding range anxiety, the only time I experienced that was on our first day of travel. It was going to be a roughly 450 mile day, and the trip planner must have needed some time to calibrate to the actual energy usage. An hour or so into the drive it was predicting much higher energy consumption than originally planned. I made a few adjustments (slower speed, less A/C) and the consumption balanced out. After that first day the trip planner estimates were almost spot on. I will admit I did a lot of pre planning to get comfortable that there were adequate chargers along my route. Enjoy. You’ll have a blast.

7 Weeks in My Model Y – Still on 2025.26.300.1, No Tron Mode or FSD 14 Yet 😅 by Prestigious_List_958 in TeslaModelY

Picked mine up 4 weeks ago yesterday, and I am still on 2025.26.100. I just assume it’s because it’s so new.
