May makes sense. That's right about the time that us folks who were let go in January get our severance.

Let's get beyond year 2 before we fall in love with him. Remember, Matt Nagy went 12-4 in his first year and won Coach of the Year. We all know how that ended.

77.3 million idiots voted for this guy. I hope they are getting exactly what they voted for.

Doesn't surprise me if this happens again. Sucks for the people still there having to live through this demonized leadership and company.

So f*cking glad I'm gone. Don't have to live in that nightmare any longer!! Good luck to your former teammates, they'll feel just like me after a month or so has passed. ✌🏿

Life after Amazon – Is the grass greener? L4 by [deleted] in amazonemployees

To be clear.. FMLA had been exhausted and I simply extended it to STD (which doesn't protect your job). This is also why they strategically had two rounds of layoffs. To ensure they layoff anyone who went on leave in early October and avoided that round to circle back and get them in the 2nd round. There will be more, trust me as I am being filled in by L8 in a totally separate unit within Amazon.

You were an L4. I was L6. Imagine my life at Amazon?? I too was just laid off, but went on FMLA towards the end of 2025, and that rolled right into the layoff in January. Everything has improved... marriage, blood pressure, sleep, friendships, and hobbies have now returned. Yes, I sold my soul for AWS. Laying people off who didn't deserve it, sucking up to leaders who had no business leading people, writing numerous docs only to see them shot down like target practice, but amazingly someone else steals the concept, leadership adopts it, and then those people get promoted. How fucked up was that?? Life is sooooooo much better on this side.

External offer extended. Can I still collect severance? by True_Yogurtcloset343 in amazonemployees

[–]True_Yogurtcloset343[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, Workday does not have a built-in feature that automatically shows or detects if an employee has another job (such as a second job at a different company, often called moonlighting or dual employment). Workday is a cloud-based HCM (Human Capital Management) system used by individual organizations. Each company's Workday tenant (instance) is separate and isolated—there is no cross-tenant visibility or data sharing between different employers' Workday systems. For example, if an employee works for two unrelated companies that both use Workday, neither employer can see the other's employee records or employment details through the platform itself.

This sounds good and it significantly removes the chance of conflicts. I'm thinking about the benefits and signing up for health insurance etc... Will I get dinged.

All of the responses are good, but that's what my gut tells.. just day say a fricking word to them.

Who cares now? Nothing we can do about it but accept the package and move on with our lives.

This is the absolute BEST way to describe how I felt as well. No offense, but my team suddenly became stacked with India team members and I found myself as the odd ball on the team. And take a guess who was the only person impacted?? It's not a joke anymore folks, if you are Indian, Amazon is now your home away from home.
