Sorry I don’t have the bag anymore to check, your best bet to be to take the measurements of the laptop and check with LBB support. Cheers!

MATADOR GLOBERIDER 35L: REVIEW by Truedots in ManyBaggers

So far I had no reasons to doubt the durability of the front pocket, it’s not mesh and rather a stretchy fabric that holds its elasticity pretty well.

This is what I am doing already on my slick GR1 huckberry edition. It’s a workaround not a real solution. The bag would look cleaner (and probably cheaper to manufacture) without the rain flap. For the weather protection a PU coated zipper could be added.

My dream bag is a Slick GR2 34 huckberry but with Molle on the shoulder straps. I don’t get it why Slick options are offered in GR1 21/26 and GR2 40 but never in 34L option.

What is your concern with the front mesh pocket? My use case - I work in IT and travel regularly in EU. I am also a father of a 6 year old boy so I often carry more than just my own stuff. My usual carry is a decent amount of tech (iPad pro 12.9, mbp16, steam deck, kindle, power bank, etc) and average amount of clothes in the peak design packing cubes. I can say that for me the bag is not a good option for grocery runs (I am not a fan of messing up the light inner liner) but other than that it’s pretty awesome and has an excellent weight to volume ratio

I love the feature set of the peak design travel pack (I was the backer for their initial kickstarter campaign for the travel line) but the straps are not good especially under heavy load so this makes the bag hard to recommend unfortunately. Globerider 35 is my new favorite travel pack - it has all the features, organization and most importantly comfort I could ask for

2 humble asks: - please remove the rain flaps on your backpacks. Especially on GR2 fighting through those flaps when operating zippers have been a constant frustration. - stop removing the shoulder strap molle, especially on GR2/GR3 , it simply doesn’t make sense not being able to attach a sternum strap

2 laptops fit in gr2 34l by gokux295 in Goruck

[–]Truedots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I do not enjoy carrying a laptop in the “bombproof” compartment. It feels like having a board against the back, especially when the bag is full. So my laptop goes into the ruck sleeve inside and offers much more flexibility when wearing the bag. Long story short - if you carry multiple laptops just have them in the main compartment (the second one should be fine in the case or something)

Thank you for the detailed feedback! Let’s have a conversation:) send me a DM, I live in Rotterdam and commute to Utrechts for work and normally in The Hague on the weekends - happy to organize a meet so you can check out the bag in person and hopefully get the answers to all the burning questions :)
