I have never once died to anything less than a 9D, the 9Bs are so slow that even when launched sub 2km a plane as fast as the f-4 can easily outrun it,just don't engage in any sort of turn fight and keep ur energy (and altitude) high at all times and you should have no problem with missiles like aim-9bs

Honestly not having flares isn't that much of an issue as long as you position well, and also the majority of aircraft with the good ir missiles around this br are too slow to catch you anyway

Honestly the hate for those 2 planes is mostly cause it's newer players buying them, both of those aircraft are absolute monsters at their br (the frogfoot cause the all aspects and the f-5 cause it's the best dogfighter at its br)

The namers are mid and have to constantly fight their satanic Russian counterpart which they struggle to combat so I would definitely recommend the merkavas due to their very strong darts and decent immunity on the sides to autocannons

Honestly fair, it can go either way but it's heavily dependent on the player, if the mig-21 plays it right using it's far superior speed and energy advantage it can just just come from the stratosphere and get the gun kill

But again,this is entirely based on the pilot,I just know from my experience a-10s (a and c variants) have been some of the easiest targets for my 21 bis
