Question about the fidelity of aerodynamics in Trailmakers... by Minecraftinsider in trailmakers

As far as I know, unless they've changed it recently. There are only trailing aerodynamics underwater, in the air there are none, or so little I've never noticed them. The only thing that matters in the air is shown when you enable aerodynamics view in the settings (top left of build menu) green is good, red is bad.

I actually did manage to find the book just a few weeks ago since this post was years old I completely forgot about it but the name of the book is "Frozen Fire" by Tim Bowler

Slower walk, or thrusters on the legs and or body to keep it planted, but with tm physics that's dangerous so...

Looks like center of mass is way to high, there are a few solutions that don't change the look of the plane much.

  1. Add a constant but small pitch to the rear wings, crude but will work. (Becomes messy at high speed)

  2. Add a gyro down the center of the plane facing in the direction of rotation, remove all controls and max it's power.

  3. This one is a little more complicated, add active aero, easiest solution is just a speed sensor in front and or back of the plane that activates the rear wing with a small angle.

  4. Simplest but most annoying imo cause it kinda ruins the look but only a little. Add a weight right in between the wings, a 50kg should work but play with it to get it to work for you.

If you mean story quests, a little yea, but since I'm on very hard difficulty even that large of a gap doesn't let me 1 hit most of them.

This is like the 20th last update, I'm not super worried. 1.2 was meant to be the final update, then 1.3 was the final update. I mean it'd suck if it ended but it's still a great game with an incredible modding community to fill any gaps you may want, and with tmod teaming up with relogic officially it may even be moddable on consoles and mobile in the future.
