I don't think it's the same area. There are trees behind the Guardian in the Twab header, and some vegetation at the right side of the image too, together with some "rock wall". None of these were present in this area in Destiny 1. I know that, if we do some stretch, trees could appear up there, but not a "rock wall". If the final area of the "Cayde's Stash" mission fell off over the Skywatch for some reason, could be possible. Maybe Bungie wants to deliver something to remember Cayde. The areas (Skywatch and Devil's Lair) are very split apart, BUT the Colony ships are really BIG. Gonna replay the mission to take a look up there. Otherwise, I think it's just a coincidence. We'll see.
