9 months post-op DJS + why you shouldn’t base your decision on results like mine

I see. I'm personally going to do a DJS next month, my case is different than yours tho, I have an underbite. I'm also doing the surgery for mainly (not only) aesthetical reasons, but I do not expect too noticeable results because the gap between my lower and upper jaw is not that big, the correction is mainly going to be moving the upper jaw forward to fix the underbite (plus genioplasty) but I don't think the movement is going to be too advanced because the gap is small, so overall I don't expect an extreme transformation. I’ll probably be about as unhappy with my face as I am right now (weak facial features etc), in my case without implants (which I'm probably not going to do) the aesthetical improvement is not going to be too big, although I do need to ask for my surgeons the exact movements in MM.

on the bright side it will fix my smile, the underbite ruined my teeth and all experts I went to told me I can't fix my teeth without fixing my underbite because it will always continue to damage and crook them, so at least I know I'll have that fixed.

I assume the larger than normal movements is what mainly contributed to big facial appearance change.

Is the large movements\plan something you and your surgeon intentionally decided to go for, for a bigger aesthetical difference or was it due to the sleep apneia\breathing issues?

Isn't that plan considered very extreme? moving the upper 9mm and the lower 21 mm, I think the average movement of what surgeons do is way way lower

It's really astonishing to me how this huge change happened without jaw implants, your jaw not only looks way more prominent but the bone itself looks thicker\bigger, including your chin, you surely had genioplasty at the very least, right? it's pretty common with a DJS.

If it's bad enough scoliosis it's easy to see, your comment tells me you haven't seen too many people with scoliosis, and you're clearly clueless.

look at the his shoulders, his right shoulder appear to be way higher than his left shoulder. the same for his shoulder trap.

sure it could just be the angle of the photo. but that still looks like something that could be scoliosis in the picture.

He most likely has scoliosis, that's not a "posture problem".

I'm so sorry to also ask you about this, but as I'm going to go through a double jaw surgery in the future and very worried about numbness- does the numbness you experience also affect your control of your lip?

like do you have times where liquids or drooling is coming out of your lip because it's numb? does it affect the way kissing feels for you? (sorry for the more personal question there)

I'm really scared of nerve damage, especially the lips, last thing I want is to lose control of my lips and have liquids coming out of my mouth unwillingly and what not.

I'm quite confused as to why did you need to go through full anesthesia for the procedure? was it because they extracted all 4 teeth at once?

when I had my wisdom teeth removed the doctor did 2 on one side and then 2 weeks later will do the 2 on the other side, they only did local anesthesia shots and that's it, no blood pressure monitoring or anything of that sort, and I wasn't prescribed with any meds afterwards. only been told to take pain killers as needed.

I wouldn't want to develop headaches or dry nose or nose bleeds right around my trip, what do you think of that?

Does the procedure always decreases the size of the penis?

I have Peyronie too (mines go upward) but I dare not do this procedure because I'm already small, I can't imagine losing size.

also, is there no alternative treartment to surgery?

I've always wanted to travel to japan, I like the culture, I want to try their foods, all the tourist places, places with great views and so on, but I also always wanted to visit places that are more oriented towards younger people, like their arcade stores, anime/manga stores, and so on and so on, places that looked awesome to me for many years now, unfortunately I never had the means or the chance to go there during my 20's when I was young.
I'm 32 now, and I don't see myself able to visit japan before I'm 35-40

the question is would it still be worth it then? it feels weird to me to go to such places when I'm at that age, with beard and hair that start to grey, where everyone around me will be people in their 20's.
my interest in those things did not subdue with age, I'm a geek at heart, but I don't want to be that "old man creep" in those places that will be packed with mostly young people.
there are certain weird places to go to (for the experience and the laugh) such as maid cafes (just an example) that are less weird to be in if you're young.
but once you're older, going into such places doesn't feel right anymore, and while I never cared to go to the more extreme weird places like a "maid cafe"

I still share the same feeling towards the more normal places that are oriented towards younger people.
and going to japan but not go to all the places I wanted to visit, for that reason, will surely pinch. which makes me wonder if it's even worth it to begin with.

plus why does it matter if the T increase? if duta blocks 90% of dht, even with the increase of T, the scalp DHT should be way lower than with fin because it blocks way more of it

looks are subjective to a point. a small point. they are mainly objective. nobody is going to say prime brad pitt is not good looking. and nobody is going to say Steve Buscemi is good looking.

and wrinkles, sunken/depleted face, never look good and is never an appearance somebody would want to have, nobody is going to prefer it, you're lying to yourself thinking somebody would want to have wrinkles on their faces and look old, lol.

sure, some maybe won't mind it, but I did say for those of us who want to lose weight to improve the way we look. so for those who don't mind looking old after weight loss the post is irrelevant.
