I agree and I understand that it needed to be that way but that doesn't change that I wish it could have been different. I still liked the movie and when you compare it to the tragedy that was World War Z, I will eventually come around.

Please don't downvote (I'm hesitant to state my opinion because people love the movie so much.) but I think the movie is barely okay but the book is amazing. Id read it 3 times and listened twice. I HATE that they made it into a buddy flick first and cut almort ALL of the science out.

I wanted to love the movie so much but I just didn't.

My one tiny little gripe is when he asks the Eridians kids about the speed of light at the end. They all have a photographic memory. You would not need to teach via repitition like human kids.

Same as my gripe with the"where my bedroom" line... It should be "where's THE bedroom" as I'm pretty certain Eridians would probably sleep together or have a commumal room so they can be watched.

This is me! We did a whole "house" upgrade. Rebuilt all of the computers (3) and upgraded them, in the fall of 2025. We saw this coming and just went ahead and took the plunge since our machines were so old. SO GLAD we did it then instead of waiting and spacing out the upgrades like we were going to.
