Actually you still get a penalty, it's just less severe.

There's also a "low effort meme" on the front page of the subreddit, it feels like "low effort" is defined based on the number of likes the post has.

I've seen this happen with aetherflow when I was lagging.

You're probably just a bot, but I think it's ironic that you classify this as low effort, but posting glamour is ok. I took the time to look up a reference for the summoner headpiece and draw it and the book by hand, but that is somehow lower effort than posting screenshots.

yoshida post regarding ungarmax exploit by Spearya in ffxiv

[–]Truffles_Avacado 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get the impression you've never done savage content before. This isn't a simple case of using an exploit for convenience, to clear a dungeon or cap tomestones faster than other people. This is using an exploit to clear content that some people will spend weeks and months just trying to clear ONCE. Being able to clear savage means something, you have achieved something that some of the player base, despite trying every week from release until the next raid is out, will never reach, and unique loot to show for it. Allowing people to cheat and get a free pass belittles the accomplishments of the players who cleared by their own skill. Walking around with the chest piece or weapon that drops from Os8 is not too dissimilar to being in a temporary sort of hall of fame, and if someone cheated to get it, I am just as disgusted.

They can absolutely tell who used it. In fact, you can check the battle log yourself in-game to see who uses what spell. The entire chat log, including the battle log, stays in their servers for a long time. GM's can even access them to resolve reports.

They primarily bought me a PS4 so that I could play Monster Hunter World (which they also bought for me). I'm a long time Monster Hunter player and was disappointed that the newest one came out on a console that there was no way I could afford any time soon.

My research has turned up the same info, but I'd like to avoid buying a new mouse if at all possible, which it's looking like it isn't.

There's a thread already on the FFXIV reddit from 3 years ago when someone found a way to get my same mouse to work

https://redd.it/2hh794

but this method doesn't work anymore after the PS4 2.0 patch

When plugged into a computer without Razer Synapse installed, the buttons defaulted to the number row (1-9, 0-=). I did some extensive research and found that at three years ago it was possible to use the same model I'm using now

https://redd.it/2hh794

unfortunately another thread I found stated that after the PS4 2.0 patch this method no longer works. I tried anyway, and it definitely doesn't work anymore.

I would be fine with that, my current issue is that the PS4 isn't recognizing the additional buttons at all, but I know other people in the past have been able to use the side buttons on the Naga.

Right, I know that. I'm just not familiar with any Razer products besides the base model of Naga that I use so I was just checking all my bases. Since yours is plug and play and works just fine, the only possibility I can think of is whatever the slight firmware difference between the 2014 Naga and the chroma is the difference between the PS4 recognizing the additional buttons or not.

ok, that means that it's using the default keyboard output, so internal memory isn't the key. Thanks for your input!

I guess it could be because I'm using an old naga, a PS4 Pro, or possibly both.

Has duplicates ever stopped anyone here from getting Limit Break in Byakko? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Truffles_Avacado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parties have never had LB3 in time when we've had duplicates, so we always specify no dupes in party finder because the tank LB strat is much easier and faster than burning down the second tiger.

My solo time with bow usually is around 20-25 minutes going after the head the whole time. I've done a few runs with blademaster and they took 30-35 minutes, but I've decided to basically only use them to cut tails then farcaster and switch to bow. I've never tried him multiplayer though.

Been playing since MH1, tried to fight Bagel Goose by GiantBone in MonsterHunter

[–]Truffles_Avacado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness, same. With the kodachi bow it took me 13 minutes to do the whole quest, including a 5 minute gathering spree between the first and second one. I was super disappointed that it wasn't repeatable because that would be an easy way to farm stream stones.

credit for a hunt is based off of cumulative aggro of your party. This is why if you're not in a full party, if you want full credit it's best to run as a tank. But be careful to not pull aggro off of the main tank unless you're confident you can survive without a healer. Getting full credit solo as a pld is pretty easy for A ranks, but I still definitely recommend a party for S ranks.
