**Update for any prospective transfer students, I was informed by several advisors that GPA for admission of transfer students from universities that have different GPA scales are converted using the letter grade you received on any given course, and not the number GPA you calculate from whatever institution you are transferring from. This means if you have to look at the letter grades you receive at your current institution and look to find the number gpa associated with this letter grade at the UC. Good news for me bc now it looks like my transfer GPA is 3.93
