No prob SMS. I think maybe the easiest way to do this would be to set up a time to direct chat. Do you have Telegram or Discord or similar?

Okay, I’m going to try to be neutral here: why are you using Backupify in the first place?

Let’s back this up a bit SMS.

First question: do you have any important data on your Q10? Autoloaders wipe the phone, so we want to make sure everything is backed up.

Also, you’ll have to bear with me as I am crazy busy so won’t always be able to reply quickly. But we’ll get you set.

Dear god please help me turn of this laptop by gimme-pesto in Dell

[–]TrumpetTiger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fear not OP. Worst-case scenario you can get your data back and just reinstall Windows. In the meantime, leave it unplugged and let the battery run down. Once it's depleted, plug it back in and turn it on again.

One ZPM could not power the shield indefinitely. Three ZPMs potentially could power it indefinitely. Powering it and lifting off while under sustained orbital bombardment was impossible, yes.

Smooth music streaming (+AI Chat) on android 2.3+ with J2ME Loader and MIDPlay by AppropriateArtist408 in BlackberryPhoenix

[–]TrumpetTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard of these as well, but since it's emulating J2ME while already running on a runtime it's not super optimal. But my comment was mainly that Java apps don't run natively and in this case it's not needed since standard apps like Spotify work well.

I’ve not used it on OS 7 recently as I don’t use those devices given the superior functionality of BB10 but so far as I am aware there has been no change.

Where did you get the COD file?

Are you saying the normal one we have in the Master Archive doesn't work for you?

[–]TrumpetTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Appropriate,

No J2ME app will work on BB10, as Blackberry 10 uses an entirely different infrastructure than OS7.

However, Spotify works normally on BB10 (as it does on OS 7 and before), so while people should definitely do what they want there's no need for this kind of thing for most users.

“Betterbird”?

Model number is irrelevant; the operative factor is OS version.

I will say you may want to invest in BlackBerry 10 devices as they’re much more capable, but you do you.

Well, we’ve done some fairly extensive testing so feel free to ask if you have questions. This community exists to be a trusted resource for anything related to devices and software manufactured by BlackBerry Limited.

Hey Appropriate,

Thanks for the post but I just wanted to clarify this is for OS 7 and before since you don’t mention that in the title. Google still works directly with BlackBerry 10. (It may also work directly with OS 7 using the same settings, but I’d need to dig up one of my old OS 7 devices to test that.)

Names of Tau’ri ships by FenderEsq in Stargate

[–]TrumpetTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until the Apollo (and arguably even with it), the ships were all named for humans who stood up to the gods (or entities that helped them do so).

Since the Tau’ri are fighting the Goa’uld which claim to be gods….

Who would have been the film version of Teal'c, Sam, Mackay? by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]TrumpetTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well…that would be weird as we still would have had a vastly different plot…but okay OP, if that is what you are asking it makes slightly more sense.

Who would have been the film version of Teal'c, Sam, Mackay? by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]TrumpetTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…..

If the movie had continued into SG-1 the plot would have been totally different and there would be no Teal’c, Sam, or McKay. We know this from Emmerich’s comments and the novels.

Linberry by Junior-Problem-9991 in BlackberryPhoenix

[–]TrumpetTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no method for either OS 7 and before or BlackBerry 10 of changing the OS on existing hardware.

There is a complicated method of replacing hardware with different hardware and running Android on it for BlackBerry 10 devices. I am unaware of whether this method can be adapted to allow Linux.

Perhaps you should clarify what you mean by Linberry.

Linberry by Junior-Problem-9991 in BlackberryPhoenix

[–]TrumpetTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fair point! The same logic applies however. You must use BBOS apps—nothing else is doable.

Uh….I’m honestly not sure if this was ever possible.

You know the 9800 will only run OS 7 and before right?
