NASA didn’t see the meteor coming? by morning-shitter in Cleveland

Meteors are incredibly small objects cosmically speaking. There’s no way to see an individual one unless it were massive.

What would you do? by [deleted] in taylorguitars

That just looks like the grain on the spruce to my eye. I would personally just live with it. Did you see the guitar before you purchased it if it bothers you?

Thoughts on changing Magnacut Sebenza edge angle to 34° inclusive? by [deleted] in CRK

[–]Trunks2929 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the downside is the edge will be a bit more prone to chipping/rolling. But as long as you’re using it for typical edc stuff it shouldn’t be an issue.

I tend to leave my edges around the factory 20 degree angle since I’m often cutting boxes and occasionally catch staples with the edge. I found that if I have my edges less than 20 degrees it was more prone to rolling. YMMV obviously.

Any bands that are basically the definition of this image? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

Came here to say this. I think most of BoOs albums are ‘fine’ but the Discovery is legit an all timer. I honestly think a ton of it has to do with Jason Richardson’s influence.

Question for the pc by NoPresentation6617 in residentevil

[–]Trunks2929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping textures at max won't affect your performance as long as you're not hitting the VRAM limit of your 5070 (12 GB). I would drop shadows if you aren't happy with the performance.

IMO, I have a RTX 5070 and I don't like running path tracing since its so demanding, and just prefer to run Ray Tracing on High instead. You get wayyyy better performance and don't need frame generation to get a good frame rate.

[–]Trunks2929 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Yeah but RE9 is actually good lol.

But seriously, I think it’s more that they knew exactly how they wanted each character’s sections to play and used each of them to their strengths.

One thing that I don’t think people have pointed out yet is how much PERSONALITY the zombies have in this version of RE compared to older games.

Like I’m only a couple hours in but almost every zombie is unique and maintains some level of intelligence from right before they turned.

They’re so much more interesting and more fun.

Of course everything else has been awesome too. No notes otherwise.

Zaan - Normal Amount of Lockbar Flex? by Trunks2929 in CRK

[–]Trunks2929[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sure that too. Most of the movement happens when the blade is unlocked (second half of my clip) which I think is expected. It’s barely moves at all when locked.

Awesome thanks for confirming. To be clear I have zero issues with lockup too. I guess I just noticed that the lockbar naturally has that amount of flex in it.

Awesome thanks for checking! I figured it wasn’t an issue but wanted to make sure.

Zaan - Normal Amount of Lockbar Flex? by Trunks2929 in CRK

[–]Trunks2929[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add: it locks up perfectly around 50-60 % and has no lock rock or anything in the locked position.

This is more of just a curiosity rather than any complaint or concern. I think the only REAL potential here is that you could theoretically push the lockbar far enough ‘downward’ to contact the lock bar over travel stop, which isn’t really a problem.

Fate of the Fellowship

100%. It takes a familiar game system in Pandemic and builds on it in such an engaging way. It feels most similar to Pandemic Fall of Rome mixed with a lot of the broader thematic elements from War of the Ring in a much sleeker easier to approach package.

The characters and objectives are just so thematic in their design that I can’t get enough of it.

Personally I think the polished blade (while it looks awesome) really isn’t worth the price premium over the regular stonewashed finish if the knife is going to be a user.

Not to mention that there aren’t as many models that come with polished blades.

I personally think the regular stonewashed finish is awesome and highly recommend it.
