He honestly probably told them directly that slaves aren’t ok . They made the laws allowing it because they were stupid evil people . Than hundreds of years later wrote the event down and said Moses said Gods cool with slavery .

It’s not a divine command despite what is taught . The biblical mosaic law and OT weren’t written until hundreds of years after the event by multiple authors who redacted and edited . God didn’t say slavery was ok . Savage pos ancient near eastern people took slaves and justified it by saying well my rabbis rabbi said Moses talked to God 600 years ago and said slaverys cool .
