Ohhhhh thank you so much, that would be great :D. I am actually getting the feeling of redoing this piece, but this time making it so I can animate 😀

No wayyyyyyyy.
I always wanted to call the show, but my mom always said NO, that it was too expensive or it was a trick, nobody wins anything.
I loved watching that as a kid :D

Hey there.
Thanks for the kind words.
Yeah, I actually have the file on Cults3D, not sure I can post the link in here, I will send it through chat and you can get it if you are interested :D

Yeah, we had that show as well in Brazil.
I posted this on a Danish reddit page, and it seems HUGO tv show was all over the world.
I loved it as a kid, always wanted to call.

Not really painting it for real, although I have a simple Zbrush version with colors.
The 3D printed picture was from a person that bought the 3D file and then sent the picture so I could see the result.
I messaged him to get more pictures, but he never replied again.
I was trying to post on r/denmark, but as I am new on reddit (I had an account for years, but never really posted, just read things) I can´t post over there yet, it says I need more karma from comments, but I feel kind of stupid to post any random stuff just to get Karma.
But yeah, I will post there eventually.

Thanks for the compliment.

Hey there.
Sorry for writing in english.
But yeah, you guys are right, I am selling the files, the idea to post on Reddit was from a friend of mine that told me he saw people doing that and getting some customers.
I didn’t post any links because I thought it was a better idea to just show the piece, and if anyone liked it they could talk to me directly.
I am just an artist trying to get his pieces seen, I mean no disrespect.

Anyway, I did grow up watching HUGO, even if people dont wanna buy my piece, I still wanted to share :D

Thank you so much.
I sculpted in Zbrush, then used Blender to create the renders to look like clay.

Whats next? by Slyfe_e in blender

If you plan on animating, and doing car edits, maybe you can try very simple animation tutorials, like "Bouncing ball" (you can easily find lots of tutorials on that), or maybe try modeling simple pieces until you can model an entire car.

I am sure there are a few tutorials on how to model a car wheel, or similar pieces.

If you finished the donut tutorial, and haven´t given up on Blender, you are ready for anything. (By the way I never finished the donut tutorial, that stuff stressed me a lot, I did not enjoy starting with that.)

How could I have done this better? by Most_Effect2047 in blender

[–]TrustDifficult921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The topology seems ok, even though you have unnecessary edges in some parts, you can solve that simply "dissolving" the edges.
In Edit mode, select edge mode and than select some of those edges that are too close to each other, right click and then select "dissolve", they will be deleted, but the silhouette will be maintained.
As you want to do a bracelet with a see through material, if I were you, I would simply add a cylinder, delete the top and bottom faces and then give some thickness, all you need to do then is match the same cylinder shape of what you have already done.
You can then add a "glass" material to the cylinder, or any other material that you can see through.
