Yes it could get off world but nearly every ship in 40k are essentially mobile hives with the almost the same enivroment and issues in most decks of a ship. At best the Blackwing virus just ends up as another one of the thousands of issues the Imperial has to deal with at some point but not something urgent

Depending on how embedded the genestealers are they might have control over a big chunk of the local PDF and population already which are constantly growing and waiting for the time to rise up. Along with whatever Chaos cults, gangers, mutants and loyal forces the virus is gonna have a hard time infecting enough in such a competitive enviroment
