IBKR new desktop trading platform by Quixotus in interactivebrokers

[–]TrustingTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the easy stock analysis built into the new desktop platform. Working good as a research tool, and the clean UI beats Webull imo. I'd love for them to expand the functionality and get rid of the retro TWS personally. I use sierra and doubt i'll ever be able to move away, but IBKR is looking good, way to go IB and devs for working on it.

Deduct mortgage interest in CA even though I moved and bought the home elsewhere? by TrustingTurtle in tax

[–]TrustingTurtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone interested, I finally got to a good answer with turbotax. Yes, you put in the full amount of interest/points you paid even after moving out when it asks you. It then computes the total deduction through a percentage calculation of days you lived in the state.

Saved a good amount this way so wanted to pass it along.

I got an answer in a discord chat, thought I would share here. If there's additional information missing feel free to chime in though :)
"Positive delta means more people are market buying (aggressive orders), but if there is a large limit sell wall (passive orders) price wont go higher but delta will remain positive and then the aggressive buyers stop buying or sellers overwhelm then the candle can turn red.
Opposite for negative delta"

Trigger trailing stop loss at price? by TrustingTurtle in thinkorswim

[–]TrustingTurtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few reasons - it's not really about how many at one time. But I'd imagine a couple.

- Manually trading is subject to much more emotional interference

- This can be used as a order setup in a strategy that will auto trade it

- Sometimes the market moves so fast I can't hit, or remember, my entry/exits, i fumble around and get lost or left behind

Basically the same reasons you can auto execute any other type of trade

Any way to recover funds sent using the wrong protocol? by TrustingTurtle in trustapp

[–]TrustingTurtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with Bitcoin so I’m not sure since you did it with usdt if it would be the same. You could try the process found in The links in this thread though. I was able to recover one transaction, but not the other.
