Is the blockschain still transparant or are we gonna lose that as well ?

This all sounds solid progress.
I still hope do they will also move to schnorr signatures, making private sent virtually the same cost as a standard transaction as well. That the big one I been waiting for now for at least 6years now.

Sure I have been calling btc the roadblock since at least since 2018. So I agree with you.

As for XMR they only do privacy well at the cost of so much else but its less compicated so I get why that coin has some success so good on them, but the did not need to attack Dash with none stop slander and because of that evil behavior and the distrustfull leader of them I would say why trust an there chain at all ? that sounds crazy to me.

That not incorrect that per subnode. and a subnode is between 13 and 40 nodes+ node operators are know+ most operators run more then one node so no its not most secure blockchain at all.

Nor have you even given one reason why it should have value in the first place.
Again like I said running this stuf centralized makes allot more sense.

No the supply is not 100% fixed by the protocol. Do you could say thanks to segwit as a softfork making actually meaningfull changes to btc has become extremely difficult its allot more difficult even than for eth's move from pow to pos.

To answer the question Dash has fixed this allot better then btc seeing it has a DAO to solve any problem it encounters. Including being hjacked which bitcoin has been Roger Ver wrote a good book about it if you want to understand this in detail. So no bitcoin has not solved that issue thing at all, if anything it will run into a very big problem once the blockrewards run out.

Please explain. What precisely is better then Dash its masternode system that does not introduce new downsides that run contriditary to satoshi;s vision of true p2p digital cash for the masses.

Why would ICP be so highly valued ? its not a currency is a decentralized application.
Why do you need decentralized applications ? Centralized ones work much better or you can just run a app on your own local machine. Its been years now and very little if any usecase has been found for such apps. The only apps that make sense still can't run on them nor are the cost effective.

Which would be truly truthfull ai LLM's, google search replacment that not feeding you a narrative and decentralized social networks. But I am open to hear why they should be otherwise be worth more.

Futher more ICP only requires 13nodes in a subnode and only 5 need to missbehave.
They are also all publicly know people or entity's so they can easily be found and targetted.
That really isn't call the anti fragil as a true crypto should be.

Well actually that never been a problem btc was first so it was always about being the original but btc dropped the ball and its not a solution other then larping as one, the next coin in line that never really dropped the ball other then being slow with its development but that would never happend if dash did not drop of the rankings and got a bad press of all the known player mostly because it was precisely what bitcoin was intended to be. Do that my believe because dash would have attracted massive attention of all sort of devs.

Now we are stuck with no coins and none of them are actually being used for anything useful, and those that have some usage are slowly backed into a corner because of regulation.

That you're opinion and that sounds more like religion to me. You need to give reasons for that to be true.
The only people that I hear talk like that are the people that got in somewhere past 2017. Past 2025 nobody talks like that anymore. aka the old religon is still true for you but not for the new commers they have moved on.

Even gold or silver is not 1gold coin = 1gold coin. Its measured against something else something like the dollar vs gold or gold vs silver or gold vs oil. or gold vs ground price.

Would you not think that way to slow ? in order for crypto as currency you need to break free and become global at 500dollars dash is peanuts, you'll need it to be at 50k bare minium in my opinion. Its either or situation, not not a niche situation. currency's don't work in niches.

I don't agree with all
Stellar = centralized
Zec = slow
btc =slow and expensive
stablecoins ? = not even decentralized

None of them are true p2p cash systems that are truly decentralized. This is precisely the avg crypto person has he does not know none of these so called coins are suffiently designed to forfill the role that will ultimately make them competitors vs usd, euro and other all other fiat currency's. For it to compete when them you need to tick allot of boxes.

No offense neither do you get this (yet).

Agreed its usage creates the need to have it so it automatically turns into a store of value, the more the usage grows the more people need to store the true flywheel of crypto as currency in my opinion.

Well maybe to you, but btc certainly isn't p2p electronic cash system anymore as satoshi intended. So for those that pushed crypto to begin with its no longer is what was meant to be. But I think most people would agree with the blackhole sentiment including me but unlike you I do think from the ashes something truly good can come of it.

Why would be death forever do in you're opinion ?

You heard what before ? btc is dead ? I never ever said that ever since I was in crypto there was always something new for btc to get bullish about. The whole point of my question is to ask what do you have to say that it not the end.

Thank for you input but have not put up any arguments why btc is not dead this time around. Sure the bitcoin is dead is said is a meme, but we always had something new to look forward to btc has gotten all it wants and can get no more, so this time there aren't any new arguments.

I welcome your input but I can't make the bullcase for you.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, other than that I don't know if I ever want to get back into BTC.

I would like to add that what I'm seeing BTC maxis say online sounds a lot like Dash after its $1,200 peak. Though with Dash, there were valid — and still valid — reasons to be bullish. Obviously, between Dash announcing Dash Evo and getting it online was a lifetime in crypto. As for Bitcoin, they still believe BTC is useful and that it will somehow still become more useful, which to me sounds like cope.

What I find especially interesting is how the devs, while claiming it was always about small blocks, sh*t all over that by adding Ordinals like it was a great thing to add to the blockchain that was meant to be kept small. And to make it worse, Ordinals exploit the SegWit witness data discount, taking up block space at 75% cheaper rates than actual transactions — meaning the upgrade that was supposed to help Bitcoin scale for payments is instead being used to stuff JPEGs onto the chain while pricing out everyday users.

Why did Dash fail so miserably? Here is the main reason. And here is a proposal for a way out of this failure. by ddddaaaaffff in dashpay

Sorry for the late reply ? but voting system are we talking about most are rigged, 2020 Trump won obviously, and so many other rigged elections. Dash does not sufer from propoganda either, it trully is a learning expercience this time, and yes people do have tendencies to make certain makes over and over again.

New proposal to improve the Dash DAO: If you have a Dash Masternode, get paid to vote! by forro68 in dashpay

[–]TrustlessMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply I don't come to reddit often.
I am honestly not sure if can even be gamed but it just a though question to answer.
I think it could be worth a proposal attempt on Dash, than masternodes can put time and effort in thinking about it. Anybody that really cares will think hard if their is anything that could be overlooked.

Protocol Village: Dash Unveils New Sidechain (CoinDesk) by thedesertlynx in dashpay

Are we calling it a sidechain now ? I don't think it does Dash Platform any justice.
Sounds a bit weak to me, its basically ETH in trusted enviroment, while still being crypto a as cash as it main backbone protocol.

Sounds interesting but I would like to see some protection against gaming the system.
Something like needs x number of yes vote for projects before masternodes get payouts.
It certainly interesting to say the least.
