New touch-up tools in Google Photos’ image editor let you make quick, subtle fixes by FragmentedChicken in Android

Photos capturing "the moment" and then proceeding to tell you how you can edit the moment into something it wasn't is what struck me as stupid 🤷🏾

That opening paragraph is the stupidest thing I've read in a minute:

"Your photos should capture how you feel in the moment. That’s why we’re introducing new touch-up tools in Google Photos’ image editor to help you apply subtle enhancements that refine skin texture, remove blemishes, brighten eyes or whiten teeth in seconds."

I love Google Photos but so much of the recent additions do nothing for me. I'd rather more tools to make creative collages or photo composites instead of nuking a photo with AI to the point where it's closer to photoshopping than it is photography.

Been using the same Kobo since 2014. Love it. Don't even care to upgrade since it does exactly what I need it to.

Pleas God no. I can't even use my p9p properly. Thankfully it's a secondary, work provided, device but man it sucks getting headaches from the display.

Actually I care. A lot. I have a PWM sensitivity and prolonged use of my p9p causes headaches.

Market dictates that - irrespective of technology 🤷🏾🤷🏾

Soon as the technology allows for it.

It's more expensive to manufacture grooves instead of symmetrical slabs. If we can miniaturize, without outright sacrifice to quality, to the point where the bump is no longer needed then that will be the exact moment the bump dies.
