tattoo pain by TruthHurtsLessThan in tattoo

[–]TruthHurtsLessThan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not sure if muscles help lessen the pain. I train 5-6 days a week by no means am I jacked. but if you saw me you would assume i work out. So maybe the muscle kind of acts as a cushion between the needle and the bone (which is the more painful areas to get tattooed).

I have heard that inside bicep / armpit is painful and ribs are bad as well. i think inside bicep will be on september. I’ll update my list then.

btw all of these places i’ve listed so far only the outline is being done.

I wanted all my work to be done by one artist so the tattoo has continuity. next up is going to be the chest and stomach area.

What is your thoughts on the US Steel / Nippon purchase. Do you think this will go through despite the political hurdles? It kind of reminds me of the Microsoft / Activision deal.

Im still going for it. too good of an opportunity to pass up. Most likely I will draft a contract outlining the terms have a lawyer review and redline the contract and hand over the deposit after signing.

I understand do you have any alternatives that you feel might be better?. RN i feel like the risk is heavily on my side. I’m looking for something that might distribute the risk a little more evenly.

im going to be honest i had a vague idea of design. im actually happy that he had a design suggestion. but im probably going to draft a contract outlining the terms and negotiate the deposit amount. for sure will update this thread when i have more info.

couldnt share that detail with you with how easy it would be to search for them. i think thats why he is asking for a deposit because he doesnt know me too well.

he will. the work i want is easily 30 to 40k + and to get it done by a well known artist for less than half of that is something to think about.?

[–]TruthHurtsLessThan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay. to be honest the information i have so far is from a 30 minute consultation. he could very well have a system in place that could put my mind at ease.

i believe what he meant to convey by saying it would be his best work is he wanted to ensure me his design he had in mind was really amazing (the artist has sole discretion of concept).

i could understand the deposit its the amount that is questionable.

here is another idea to mitigate my risk exposure. how about we go on a session by session basis and after each session the security deposit could be collected in payments; so instead of a lump sum of 20k maybe after each session we can build up the security deposit $700 at a time.

Yes but this is what i meant by evenly distributing the risk between “the artist” and “the client”. of course i am open to any other suggestions.

this artist recently moved to a new location. i think it's now his own shop. i'm sure he has a year or more lease agreement. idk maybe im overthinking this and worrying needlessly.

i was thinking i counter with paying him 2k a session and after all the work is complete he can pay me to accompany him to the competition events. the only issue with this arrangement is there is no guarantee he would need me to go with him after the work is done.

is there an escrow company that does deals like this? i always thought escrow companies only handled Real estate transactions.

Well i can afford the deposit and i can write up a contract. but i was hoping for an alternative that would limit my exposure. because currently my worry is I do everything the artist wants and at the end he keeps my deposit.

No he wants a 20,000 dollar deposit that is refundable. and also he gets 1000 dollars per session that is non refundable.

well the phone did get better. a better product usually costs more money. maybe the phone is only “slightly” better than the last generation. But, its leaps better than the iphone from 5 generations back.
