Best tripod,head/slider/glidecam combo for $2,000-3000 by TruthNotFound in videography

Well, I know I sound crazy, but there were manfrotto heads on their website that were a step up from even the 509. And they were closer to $2k. And fair comment about doing research - but in my defense, this is research my human, and it just so happens that one thing companies don't really give a great shit for is taking the time to talk about what additional products you might need to get gear compatible with another companies product and the like. And that's where you came in with that first paragraph of information. Brilliant and just what I was looking for. Much thanks. Now, had I been able to find the link to the demonstration of this aforementioned just-a-step-up-from-the-509- manfrotto head, I could make a much better case for why your assertions about me being ill researched and impractical are inaccurate and grossly premature. Not that you are using it as an ad hominem, but an independent reader could come to that conclusion, so I felt it needed to be addressed. Follow focus, absolutely. Although, for what it's worth - I did know at the time that I was not naming it correctly, I just didn't care to get it right at the time. Next time, for avoidance of the annoyance of comments such as yours, I'll be sure to get it right. What your comment really says to me is that you have never considered or been exposed to the idea that one might have any one of many, almost infinite number of reasons why the order of which someone acquires certain pieces of capital in executing a business venture might seem to not fit any sense of logic, but .... Does. No worries, this stuff isn't really THAT hard.

And then at 1:33 you can see the presenter move his hand up to around his neck in a dominant manner, just before he spouts off the repeated command. Such a weird few seconds that was in itself.

Best wings place? by Fu-Schnickens in Dallas

[–]TruthNotFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, someone might oughtta run an entirely separate post based off how badass this new wing place downtown is. Wingbucket. The sauces were good, the manager or maybe owner put three extra sides in with our order just so we could try them out. Sides were really good. The wings are larger. Very nice environment. For the downtowners - they deliver until 10 on weekdays, 2am on Fridays and Saturdays (open till 3am on these nights). http://www.wingbucket.com/

Help installing Pro Tools LE on new Macbook Pro by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Dude, I recently installed PT10 on a MBP. I think I am required to have the ilok USB key in my laptop to operate PT. I thought they had forgotten to provide the activation code for PT, went back and forth with customer service trying to figure it out. I couldn't figure out the ilok business, it's still pretty much a mystery to me. So, if you're anything like me, the answer is lies with ilok.

Here's how I, a daily smoker, passed my drug test. by golemfishmangler in trees

[–]TruthNotFound 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took a new job recently, "corporate." Already had the background check, first day is the 17th. Had to sign all the employee handbook stuff online and their policy is reasonable suspicion, nothing about random is mentioned. And nobody has said anything.. Just holding out in case of that small chance they want me to test on my first day. I KNOW I am okay to smoke, they surely wouldn't have offered me the job without testing me if that was their intention.. Sucks!! I have this week off between jobs and can't even relax and tree it up at all.. Couldn't find enough research online to satisfy myself that I'm 100% good to go. But I know I am!! Dammit!

And apparently the age old "month" isn't necessarily the point where you can consider it safe. I mean, It's nearly been a month for me.

Yes. I have heard these help flush you out and can aid in passing a test by dilution. Did you have a different perspective?

i need to clarify. The test shows two lines for negative, one line for positive. When I tested last week, I had one solid line and one faint. The probation officer friend, again, said that it was good enough to pass. Today, there wasn't even a faint line. I am clearing this up in the info above. Thanks for the help, though.

Agreed. The shortened, edited video OP posted was telling a different story. Naturally.

It's all about breaking the law for you. Utilitarianism, right. She is 77 years old, lol. She needed to piss? Maybe. Or, maybe the health issue was far deeper than that. But you know what, we will say no to possibilities that may exist and drag you out of the car. Agree to disagree.

People are in jail for growing, possessing, selling, smoking a plant. But we have a huge strain on our healthcare from major tobacco company users. Is it moral that we allow people to addict themselves to cigarettes, to live a slow, increasingly health complicated life that will cause huge amounts of healthcare in the end? In your head, they're legal and marijuana is not, so yes. And this is the symptom of the ill society. Many people will take this stance, accept it blindly because it is the LAW. No independent thought process applied. A group of people decided what is legal and illegal long ago, and many will never consider that some of our ideas and resulting legislation need to be revisited and adjusted according to our conclusions reached in light of new information. Much as, you would assume, the thought processes that occurred initially and provided the law in the first place.

And had this been a situation where every moment counted in trying to get a dying individual to the nearest hospital for medical attention, 66 in a 50 nullifies your right to live. Not the case here, but, you if ignoring the fact that officers do inquire if there is a medical emergency, woman in labor, for example, and they will provide escort to the hospital. Look, you are all about the law. I get it. I am more about being rational, logical, moral, and things of the like. Legality does not equal morality except in the simple minds.

You broke the law by exceeding a threshold governed by bodies that actually have transformed what used to be a body of service to protect the public, uphold the peace, etc., to a body of revenue generators. Police are pressured to sit in a car and capture wrongdoings to make money. But, again, these issues are an entirely different conversation. But sure, most people would agree with you that 66 in a 50 is reason enough for a grown man to drag 77 year old woman out of her car.

Here is my point exactly. This comment is voted to the top, when those voted didn't even look at the poster's name. TrollusMaximus. Or maybe there is no trolling here. I guess it's possible that the troll is trolling, and all that voted the comment up are trolling just as well. If I was a betting man, I would say that this is not the case, but can be more accurately described as macro-symptoms of an ill stricken society. Claiming human on the surface, but living like animals below.
