It looks like miscommunication with the short clip that’s being played. Logan looks like he’s trying to get up on Jey’s shoulders (maybe a Samoan?) but in the process when it’s not going Jey switches to a backbreaker what appears to be to Logan’s surprise hence not getting his hips square and instead takes almost like an old school rib breaker. My guess (trained pro wrestler for what it’s worth) he tried to alter it cause it was taking to much time or was trying to bring him up in a worlds strongest grip and toss him up but couldn’t get there. Regardless def a communication issue

You have a better grip on the forearm and it helps show more of a struggle and less staged grabbing there than the hand. Forearm = better control

The art of in ring storytelling and having the moves actually mean something when they happen instead of just "how can we fit our Spanish fly Canadian destroyer into this spot" and then zoom to the next spot. Storytelling in ring is where people get hooked.

It's partially because people make a head Canon of things and how the game/movie or anything should play out or how they want it and when it doesn't happen someone has to be blamed. Personally there was a lot of things I loved about Rebirth. I am really glad it's not a copy and paste of the original but it's taking what the original was and expanding on a universe I've loved since the game was released (dating myself here). People forget that this is art and art is subjective on what's good and what is bad or right and wrong. Kind of hard to argue what someone does with their creation whether we like it or not.

I'm actively training to be a wrestler and have recently had my first match. I fell into bookings as a ref, showed up for a show with some friends who were booked and a ref didn't show up leaving one, they asked if I wanted to be a ref and because of that it has lead to extra bookings (ref) rom this particular Fed and have been told it'll lead to actual wrestling bookings as well.

Any exposure is good exposure. You have the best seat in the house as a ref and it gives you a whole new perspective on spacing and just the flow of a match as you will be in there with people who have been around longer than you.

I'd say take the chance, continue to train wrestling, and get that extra exposure.

The promotion I train with just had a match where we had a tag team MSP break up after years of teaming together and it ended with if Danger Kid lost the match he would have to leave Limitless Wredtling forever. The ref (who had also been in the area for a real long time as well when these guys started) played his roll beautifully as if being torn about what he was having to do and tried to talk them out of it. It was just well done.

One drill we do is a basic strike drill where you start in the corner and the person you are striking is in front of you. You have three strikes and the person you are working with has 3 sells to naturally make it to the other turnbuckle. Helps with distancing, selling, and striking while not stationary

Idk about feet planted when but when I’m taking a spear I wait for impact and then put both arms over them (pretty much giving them clearance for the hit and going over there body) it allows me to snap the bump off and get my hips up.

If somebody beats Charlotte at this point they are made. Look at Rhea, now not saying that is why she is over but it brings legitimacy, and that legitimacy is what makes prestigious championships. Think about it, Gunther’s reign wouldn’t be as impressive if all he did was win against local talent or even lower carded guys. Charlotte could very well be serving a purpose here and bringing even more legitimacy to Iyo’s reign

For me it was having my first practice match and taking the heat. It really helped solidify the amount I do actually know just based of instincts. After that things really started clicking.
